The Original J.R. Crickets in Midtown Atlanta

This was a highly recommended restaurant, and I’m honestly confused how. For 10 wings, a handful of fries, and a cup of water… $16+?? Once we sat ourselves and got our order taken we waited no less than 15-20 minutes for our food. We received it and nothing was even fresh. My fries were cold, and the server had to grab another serving. Their wings are huge & nothing remotely spectacular. The fries were horrible.. no seasoned salt, plain salt, or anything for that matter.. just fried starchy fries🤢.
I say they’re overpriced & underwhelming. They also expect you to tip even though you aren’t even truly waited on. No water refills no anything. I asked another server for water (a black girl with short curly hair) she had a weird attitude and asked if i could “meet her at the front with it or do I want her to bring it to our table” ??? Um, bring it to the table please? I won’t ever be back

Why allow online orders to go through and accept payment, if yall don’t accept and fulfill online orders??

Food was really great! Lemon pepper wings definitely gave me what I was looking for! Forgetting the ranch was absolutely annoying because one of my guests really didn't want his wings without it!

WENT DOWN HILL!!!!! The old people who use to run this spot must left? & it shows ! The wings have steroids in them !!!! The drinks taste like dirty water! A few years ago this was known as the Best J.R crickets !! Not anymore !!! What has happened! What a waste of MONEY ! It’s NASTY NOW !!

We were told this was the best wings in Atlanta and they did NOT disappoint. I got the 10 wings with 3 ribs special. The wings were delicious!!! The ribs had great flavor, but 2 out of the 3 were very tough and chewy. Service was slow and forgetful but friendly. We had a great time.

This place needs a good cleaning. And there's no way to call ahead because all their phone numbers don't work. Their website is from 2001 and you can't order online there and there's no profile for them on DoorDash, so you're forced to place to-go orders in person and wait almost 30 minutes in their tight, dank restaurant. They charge extra for doing different wing flavors in 1 order, which is an unnecessary surcharge. The taste of the wings is mid and they use minimal wing sauce like there's a wing sauce shortage impacting our country. Idk man. I'm only giving 2 stars instead of one because the wings were a decent size, not those tiny ones American Deli gives you.

I had 30 wings with fries different orders and she charged me $95 I was so aggravated I just paid for it and left I know that was not how much my food was she told me that she was new but wasn't gonna say anything until I say anything but I already had paid by $95 the wings was all like they may sit in there and they was very dry
