Inspired by the NYC classic, we cook chopped blackened ground sirloin with grilled onions. Then we top it with American cheese, tomatoes, shredded lettuce and secret sauce and service it on a griddled hoagie.
Yankee Reuben
Corned beef, Swiss cheese, caraway sauerkraut and thousand island dressing served on griddled swirl rye bread. This is a pretty damned delectable Reuben for a burger joint in Atlanta.
Havana en Atlanta
A traditional cuban sandwich filled with roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, mojo marinated pickles and spicy brown mustard – griddled nice and flat. Great with a side of fried plantains. – served "as-is" only.

Tasty Turkey Chili
Made with ground turkey, fire roasted tomatoes, green chiles, jalapeños, black beans, onion and cilantro, all cooked in a seasoned cream stock. Slightly smoky with a little bit of spiciness.
50/50 Chili
A half-serving of Spicy Beef Chili and half-serving of Tasty Turkey Chili all mixed together in the same cup or bowl.
Spicy Beef Chili
Made with ground sirloin, chipotle peppers, cayenne pepper and a secret combination of seasonings, but not a single bean. It's mighty meaty and mighty spicy, so don't order it if you can't take the heat.

The food is as delicious as it looks in the photos. Everything was super fresh and tasty. The menu was a bit overwhelming because there was an amazing variety of great choices. The pickle chips and the plantains were not cooked in the traditional coins, the food was way better! Even the ranch was spicy ranch.

Sad to share that after the new owner (Taco Mac’s parent company) have taken over the Vortex has lost its luster and good food. We expected Friday night at little five to be packed but the restaurant was only partially full. Even with less tables filled it took 30 mins for us to get our orders of basic burgers with no changes and tots which were barely luke warm when they hit the table. The burgers were incredibly mid. We believe the waitress (young, dark hair, curvy) on the early evening of 10/26/2024 stole my husband's credit card information and spent $700 at "La La Land" Decatur, GA. We were only in town for 2 days and this was the ONLY place we paid by cc where they took our card away from the table. So best to avoid using cards here or pay with cash. I will be filing a police report. I was not able to get in touch with the manager.
