Jamel was an awesome server. Food was delicious and the entire place was a vibe. Next time I'm in town I will definitely be back.

I went into Virgil’s on Tuesday with my little brother , I ordered food , drinks , and hookah at the same time and they were slightly busy. When ordering tacos from their special I asked my server if the fish and shrimp tacos were cooked together and she said no so I proceeded to order 4 shrimp tacos. When the tacos arrived I took one bite and knew something was wrong. They gave me 4 fish tacos which I am allergic to. I ran to my car to grab a benedryl and I realized I didn’t have any. At this point i’m panicking running down the street trying to find a gas station because my lips were swelling and my throat was itching and starting to close. I called my mom crying because I couldn’t find the gas station and my allergies have never gone on that long I was terrified. My mom calls the resturant and I walk back and the Manager (i’m assuming) has the house phone and asks if i need an ambulance. Me knowing an ambulance will take a few minutes I say No I just need benedryl. He runs to the store and grabs my benedryl and I sit down and drink some water trying to relax. He lets me know the FOOD is taken care of and asks if I would like the rest of the stuff I ordered ( I had ordered more food and a hookah) I said yes. When it’s time to go I get handed a reciept for my hookah and my drink. Now they could clearly see I didn’t drink the drink because how was I supposed to consume alcohol after I took benedryl ? :) Then when I looked at my tab and realized my waitress rung in the wrong hookah I said to myself well if she put the wrong hookah in I’m sure she probably put the wrong tacos in. Overall I’m not happy with how my life threatening allergic reaction was handled. There was no explanation as to how 4 fish tacos ended up in front of me at all. My whole check wasn’t even taken care of.

I went for a graduation celebration and had a pretty decent sized party. It was a crowded night, but Xavier did absolutely everything he could to get us seating as quickly as possible and had an amazing attitude for how the night was going . The food and the vibes were everything and I will definitely be back, thank yall for A great night !

The vibes was cool the waitress was cool but the food was ok my crab cakes taste like tuna fish salad with crab and the biscuits was ok but they was so hard I only ate the inside part that was soft . I will not return because if the food not good why would I go back

Sydney C was the best. From the time we arrived until the end of our meal we were treated with care and excellence.

I recently visited and while the food was okay, the service provided by Syd C was absolutely exceptional. The restaurant was incredibly busy, but Syd managed her tables with impressive grace and efficiency. She was attentive to all our needs and never let the crowd affect the quality of her service. If you’re lucky enough to be seated in her section, you’re in great hands!

As soon as I entered the restaurant, I saw quite a few RED FLAGS starting with having a Hookah on the bar which employees were constantly using it in front of an open kitchen. It looked like a health violation. Next, we were seated upstairs with dim lighting to the point I had to pull out my cellphone flashlight in order to see the menu. My dining partner ordered a drink and was not happy and let the waitress know without offering solution except ordering a different drink. After we finished our order and the food arrived without utensils. The waitress took so long to come back to our table I had asked the bartender can we get utensils to eat and he comes back and throw plastic utensils on the table and walked away. WRONG MOVE. How can I cut a pork chop with plastic utensils? That was just unprofessional. I ordered the Church Plate and it was awful. I had to literally fight to pull a chicken wing apart which means it was not fully cooked. The Mac and Cheese was dry and stale. The collard greens were 90% stems. The sweet potatoes tasted like leftover mush. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to Virgil's.

I love Virgil’s the food is typically good. I got the crab rice and a side of greens and mac, which didn’t disappoint, it was pretty busy but my server Ronald was cool he definitely made the experience better, kept us laughing and was fast and efficient with good recommendations. He said he made the drinks himself and I was glad because they were really good! Gonna keep coming back looking forward to my next visit!!!

I visit this location on Memorial Day had a great time. The server was so awesome but today I come and I was disrespected by the owner. He said he was the owner by the server. They were very rude and nasty to me and I don’t appreciate it as a black woman and as black Staff just horrible you don’t treat people like that they need to be talked to and he wouldn’t give me the owners information first he said it was a manager and then he said he was the owner so I know he’s not the owner.
