I've lived just down the street from this place for years wondering and I can't believe I waited this long. The atmosphere was uniquely beautiful. It's quiet without feeling isolating, and dark without being encompassing. The service was some of the best I've ever seen. Anthony and Evan were on *top* of it all night. The food was absolutely incredible. One of the best chicken thighs I've ever had and they did a knock up job with the prime rib sandwich.

I am a little hesitant to leave this review because I’ve had some good evenings here, but I have also had two pretty terrible experiences. This last time, my wife ordered a simple gin and tonic. We watched the bartender pull out an already opened liter bottle of tonic to make the drink. It was flat. We told the bartender this and she somewhat disdainfully said, “Thanks for letting me know.” And then turned away. She didn’t make another drink and charged us for the flat one. This, to me, is unacceptable from a place that is supposed to offer an elevated cocktail service. The good bartenders there can offer an enjoyable experience and good cocktails, but after this second rude experience, I’m done with the place.

Whoopsies is a cool restaurant with hipster vibes. The drinks, food and service were great. The chicken wings were really crispy but I didn’t like the brown butter, it’s too sweet for my taste. My husband got the snack tray and it’s diverse. We’ll be back.

Maybe 40 people can be in here at once. Small but maximized layout for comfortable variety seating. You’re transformed to a different place with the dark/moody vibe and cool instrumentals. Tables, chairs, bar tops, glassware, silverware, art deco is all correct. Smells like good food is being cooked. Small menu that allows the daily specials to shine. A vegetarian can be happy with these fun eats. A big-back would probably prefer a more American common menu with lots of meat options. I imagine on popular days it’s easy to be packed so have a backup plan or be patient. Sunday evening was cool about half packed with only 1 server and 1 bartender. Surprisingly enough to handle it plus the small menu helps minimize ordering. AC boomin. The beautiful booth tables have a wide bottom base that makes it hard to sit in the middle of the booth without stepping on the base & bending my knees tight so I sat more to one side of the seat and laid my feet across. Felt very comfortable here.
Eggplant- I love the peanut and cilantro on top nice crunch and herb freshness. Asian sauce adds the right flavor to eggplant because in my opinion eggplant isn’t tasty so you need to add a punch flavor and this was the right miso. At home I would ditch the miso to be healthier. Nice portion and menu idea. Not for everyone but I’d order it again.
Roast beef sandwich- deliciously tender/perfect true roast beef taste with a generous gravy au jus, horseradish butter and soft bun. The butter looks like milk but it’s great accompaniment. Bottom bun gets soggy and could be toasted or braced with lettuce or onion. I know a true roast beef sandwich is just beef & bread tho. Two crispy onion rings would go hard on the side. I’d order again. Not sold everyday I don’t think.
Fish with Gumbo-Sunday Special. Real deal shellfish taste. Has chicken, okra, rice, sliced shrimp, and crispy southern fried fish. Lovely. Should have more rice. $28 is fair for this masterpiece. I’d order the same three dishes again. Want to try the wings, salads and any daily special they’re advertising.
The attaboy drink was very strong, kinda syrupy. Too thick for me. Old-fashioned was good.
Fish tray with hush puppies, collards, and Black Eyed Peas was utterly amazing and great value. Wings really Great with unique homemade cowboy sauce dip.
Pecan pie was great, but I wish it was served warm.. Love the date and chill vibes, plants, decor, service, great restroom (only one), chef inspired menu. Added this place to our favorites.

Three stars, because the first time i came i loved it. Went recently, and the server never even took my order after ten minutes. Got a drink from the bar and didn't like it, and didn't see any options for non-meat eaters so didn't dine in. My first glass was also dirty, so didn't love that either.

Pros: the vibe is immaculate. The miso glazed eggplant was fantastic.
Cons: the space is small, the drinks are very basic. I didn’t really get the feel the bartender knew what he was doing. I watched him shake a drink and it was barely a tremble. The chicken sandwich and wings were average.

Oh hell yea! Small, quirky, and got-dang delicious! Tim's suuuuper old-school back bar and simple but strong cocktails meets Hudson's southern home cooking but better than yo momma's!
One of my favorite spots in town for a cocktail after work, a full dinner, or a late night last stop.

I can’t say enough great things about our meal at Whoopsie’s! The menu features so many thoughtful, locally sourced dishes, with ingredients that complement each other to give a rich flavor.
The squash casserole small plate was phenomenal, and the fish entree was delicious. The snack plate featured some of the best tasting pimento cheese I’ve ever had and the chow chow made me feel like I was sitting at my grandma’s kitchen table.
Our server, Emily, was always on point with a fresh drink, solid menu recommendations, and friendly table service. Nicole crafted impeccable cocktails that were refreshing and well balanced.
The ambiance is cozy and chic; with plants surrounding the windows and a low lit dining area combined with eclectic decor, this restaurant is the perfect place for a relaxing date night or a classy evening with friends over cocktails.
We will definitely be returning to try everything else on the menu. Thanks again, Emily and Nicole!

Nah- skip it. We went for the Prime Rib because it was recommended. We have lived here 35 years so we have had a lot of good food. We had terrible service, the music was so loud we could not hear anything and had really hoped the bartender would at least just talk to us. Had to ask for everything even water. Much better prime rib in this city for the same price. For a 150 dollar meal, I expected some service. At least a hello and some info about menu. Really disappointed and highly do not recommend. Nothing blew us away unfortunately.

Live nearby and finally decided to walk over and give it a try. Had the Sunday fish special gumbo and I have to say, the rue was the most flavorful I've ever had! I've been to New Orleans several times and never had gumbo as complex and smooth as this.
The people were friendly and relaxed. Small neighborhood gem for sure.
