On Sept. 1st, 2022 I went to the Kroger on Washington Road in Evans, GA. I did not use the self check out. I was using a United Healthcare 2022 OTC + Healthy Food Benefit card to pay for my purchases. I bought only food. After the cashier scanned my card I was told the was a $17 balance that the card wouldn’t pay for. I’m a 69 year old Social Security recipient that receives $877 per month. I didn’t have the the cash to pay the balance. I informed the cashier I didn’t have the money so I wouldn’t be able to complete the transaction. I had no idea why there was a balance that needed to be paid in cash. The transaction was still open on the screen so I asked that the entire transaction be suspended and I would leave my ENTIRE purchase. The cashier walked over to the service desk, then to an employee in the self check out area to speak to them. As there was a line behind me, I walked to the service desk, told them my situation and that I would have to leave everything there. I then told the cashier and the other employee I was leaving my ENTIRE purchase as I dint have any cash. I didn’t have a receipt as the transaction was NOT completed. I immediately went to my car, called customer service for United Health Care and explained the situation. The next day I saw that my card had been charged $85 by Kroger. I contacted United Health Care to rectify the situation and they contacted Kroger. Kroger sent United Health Care a copy of a receipt where I was charged $85 and the $17 balance was entered as CASH to close the transaction. My was denied my $85 credit. I can only assume that Kroger closed the transaction, took the $17 cash loss to keep my $85. I’m on a fixed income and without the $85 on the Benefit card I have spent the last 27 days borrowing from my daughter, and living on peanut butter, bananas, bread and milk. And I’ve been doing this because Kroger apparently needed MY $85 worse than I did.

Stopped by back to back. Initially came for Kroger Chef Junior program on Saturday! Then came back for the Wienermobile on Sunday! Got my whistle! I'm official, thistle!! We also did a little grocery shopping. Had a decent sale on produce: avocados, strawberries and bananas. I saw a cake, but I left it in the store.

David the Pharmacist was an absolute lifesaver. I had a perfect storm occur, falling in between refills of a prescription with very strict rules while on the way to a long overdue vacation. David was able to untie the knot of policies regarding filling out-of-town prescriptions and had me back on the road to the beach in less than 10 minutes. He was most helpful, genuinely pleasant to deal with, and had great hair, too! If you're ever in need of a friendly, neighborhood pharmacist, swing by and see David. You won't regret it.

I do like Krogers on Washington Road in Augusta. I do not like their new delivery service. I paid $59 for a year. Kroger's is now using instacart instead of their own people. I was supposed to get my groceries between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.. now I am being told I won't get my groceries till 4:15 p.m.. I'm still waiting to find out if I do even get it. we're talking about $80 worth of groceries. I did find out that instacart is short on employees. Think twice before signing up for Boost delivery program. I'm sorry that I did.

the lady at self check out was rude and doesn’t need to work with the public. She could not do her job this morning and stood there while i struggled to use the self check out. I’m new in the area and we did not have a Kroger. Their kroger brand spring water is twice as high as Food Lions spring water I have never had an employer tell me if i didn’t like the self checkout i should go stand in the long line n get them to do it this is exactly what she said to me when i called to report it the manager is just as offensive and is not at all manager quality You need to train your employees

Pretty consistently has all the sale items or will issue rain checks. Produce manager rocks love the specials. I have also noticed additional staff during peak hours and prior to big holidays. Wished parking was easier especially when they close it down to only one entrance and exit door. Overall the staff has been friendly and helpful even during the last couple of stressful years

Many Employees are rude. Sale price sticker often left on shelf, AFTER it expires! When I told employee, she did NOT apologize. She continued socializing. Im overcharged 90% of the time. Meat had 2 prices, and was charged higher price, even though my Kroger card discounted other items.

I've had some displeasing experiences but ALCIA IN SELF CHECK OUT is amazing at her job , knowledgeable, great sense of urgency & her customer services is flawless !! The full Starbucks crew are all amazing , often make my whole day !! These small group of people are the reason I always come back despite other departments .

Very very poor experience with curbside pickup. Arrived during my pickup window and have been waiting 2 hours now for my groceries, an hour past my pickup window. No option to pick them up myself or cancel order. Called 3 different numbers to try to pickup from inside and no one is answering. Have seen 1 employee the entire time delivering the curbside, but takes about 20 minutes in-between each individual car when he goes back inside. Line for pickup is wrapping around parking lot. Store really isn't that busy at the moment. I feel bad for the employee, I understand it's not his fault, but 5 people have gotten out of their cars to inquire about what is going on and several cars have given up and left. This defeats the purpose of curbside pickup to avoid going into the store and scheduling a window to ensure timely pickup. Managers should reallocate sources/employees to help resolve this backup or at least have talk to customers/answer the phone to help explain the issue. I am sure there is a reasonable explanation behind this, but it really is causing excessive inconvenience. 30 minute wait? Understandable. 60 mins? That's Okay...2 hours and counting? A bit frustrating to say the least.
