Update: The manager called the Monday after the events described below and was incredibly kind, offering a genuine apology and made strides to rectify the less-than-positive experience. This sort of personal touch and customer service is rare these days and goes a long way to build loyalty, so we will likely give Midtown Tavern another shot next time we're in town. Even cold, the burgers were still tasty, so we look forward to trying them under better-timed circumstances. We placed an order for take-out tonight using the website - 3 burgers with fries and 1 french dip. Turns out, the French dip shouldn't be available on the online menu, because they didn't actually have it. No one tried to call us about this, we arrived to pick up our food and my husband was told they don't have the French dip, and asked what we'd like instead. We replaced it with chicken strips. These took 35 additional minutes to prepare, meanwhile, apparently the rest of our food was ready and packed. We finally got the chicken strips and returned to the hospital (we're in town because of an extremely ill family member), and the burgers and fries were all cold, only the chicken strips were hot. We also had requested, in the online order, ketchup with all the meals and burger sauce on the side for two of the burgers. The only sauce or condiments we actually received was honey mustard with the chicken strips, which is what we explicitly said we do not need. The burgers were tasty but cold, and no one was really interested in cold fries with no ketchup to even dip them in (the hospital cafeteria was closed by the time we finally got back with the food). We were charged full price for all entrees, even the one that made everything else late because their website is incorrect and they couldn't be bothered to call us when preparing the order, and had built a 20% tip into the cost when we paid for the order online while placing it. This was an overall disappointing experience.

Looking for somewhere with a chill atmosphere, great drinks, fabulous food and even more fabulous staff.. definitely check out Midtown! It’s easily become my favorite go to restaurant. The burger is SO good BUT my personal favorite is the fried oyster sandwich! YUM! My friends and I really enjoy popping in for delicious cocktails or even better, Natty Lights! I highly recommend Midtown to anyone in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

We were quickly seated and attended to. Our server explained the menu, made recommendations, and checked on us regularly. The food was fresh and delicious. By the time we were finished, the restaurant was full, but we were still able to have comfortable conversations at our table.

Friday was my very first visit at Midtown Tavern. It's a nice spot. I dined on a night of a huge party in the back so when I walked in I was met with the volume of conversation high. The food had potential to be amazing but it wasn't hot when it came to my table. I didn't send it back. I barely ate my steak nor fries. Again, this is not anything bad on the restaurant itself. We were told it was due to the very large party in the back and quite a few of the party being disgruntled for whatever reason. This made a domino effect in the kitchen. I would love to try the place again in hopes there isn't a party going on. I do believe it has potential.

The place is nicely laid out. Nice out front outdoor seating available. Good bar scene for those who prefer that kind of situation. The staff seems quite friendly and it is obvious they like doing the job of serving the customers well.

We visited this great little place for Valentines Day and have no regrets. Food was great, cocktails were tasty, beer was cold, and service was top notch. We look forward to returning and bonus the outside seating area looks pet friendly so we will bring the our doggo next time.

Made a reservation a few months in advance for valentines. Got there and we were seated and happy. I happened to be in the path of the ac unit and knew I was going to be cold. I asked the waitress if we could move to one of the several open tables. She goes and ask. A young woman comes and tells us we can't move because those seats are reserved. Like me seat, right? Right. So I asked can you not sit them in one of the other open tables or the table we are sitting in. She tells me no, that's not how it works. Ok, so I'm sitting there cold, the restaurant sells no warm beverages, I asked. We order. I ordered the mini burger trio. It comes to me with bacon. I asked the waitress for the menu, maybe I overlooked it. Nope, there is no mention of bacon. I bring this to the waitress attention and she doesn't offer to bring me a new burger or anything. So I tell her not everyone eats bacon you all should probably include it on the menu or make mention of it. She's like ok, is there anything else? I also ordered the sweet chili wings or some flavor like that. I was too annoyed to eat them. Now this is the kicker, by the time we got up there were still about 5 open tables. Soooooo WTH? I've never understood catering to some potential money when money is in your face. It's weird to me. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and their food. I don't think this is a bad place at all. It was very clean, good layout, nicely decorated. The bar was packed. So I'm sure the bartender is amazing. I just didn't have the best time or experience. Try it and form your own opinions.

The food here is amazing. The Brussels sprouts were some of the best I've had out!! The atmosphere is great and overall a nice spot for an evening out.

Planned a dinner for a party of 20. The table and set up was very nice. Place is nice overall. The food was not to our liking. The entire party complained about the food. The drinks was mediocre. The waitress wasn't good. She definitely needed help with servicing the table. Overall I give the place a 3 and we wouldn't return.

I loved the restaurant's decor and the service was great! My meal was ok, burger under seasoned. The one thing I had seen on the menu in the website was the broiled tomato. I was disappointed, it seemed the chefs forgot to put the dish in the broiler as it was cold and the cheese not melted or browned. The server offered to take the cost of the side dish off my bill but I requested that she leave it on the bill. I liked the ambience, location and staff. I will go back and give Midtown Taveren another try!

Had a hard time finding something appealing on menu. Something a little different. Thought about goat salad but remembered skimpy toppings on a previous visit. Went with fish and chips. Fish was very greasy and needed salt ( not on table). Was hard to track down waitress to get some. had to ask for ketchup for fries. Salmon dinner was good. Server was prompt with drinks and food but hard to catch for missing condiments. Not sure what lane they are trying to fill. Home cooking? Gastropub? Somewhere in the middle

This was our first visit, and I wish I had known about it before. Great food options in a nice environment. Our waitress was very sweet but we did have to hunt for her a couple of times to start with - got better as the meal progressed. Both of us enjoyed our brunch items, and we thought the food was good and well priced. Very nice vibe to the restaurant - we will return.
