Great place we enjoyed drinks and the atmosphere. This is one of Augusta’s gems. The food is wonderful and the owner Maguire stands on with his business he is very hands on. Happy 1 year guys and gals !

Based on the reviews, Midtown Tavern in Augusta, GA is one of the favorite restaurants in the city. The food is very good and delicious, with excellent burgers and fries, a new burger with a very unique sweet heat bbq sauce, and somehow the brussels sprouts were even better than before. The fried oysters are a favorite appetizer, and the steak Fritas and bourbon glazed meatloaf did not disappoint. The chef is talented, and the food was excellent, though slow. The service is also excellent, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The bar is always attentive, and the drinks are consistently excellent. However, the restaurant is very busy and small, and it can be very loud and congested, making it hard to talk. The owner went above and beyond, coming in on a day off to help a customer.
