We tried this place for our anniversary. It was expensive but worth it for the experience. It was a bit loud because there was a game going on so we understood. In addition they put us in a nice secluded area. The food and services were outstanding.

Outstanding food and drinks. The parmesan martini is wonderful take on a martini and complements many of the dishes very well. The pasta noodles are all made in house and sets their pasta dishes above other upscale restaurants in the CSRA. My experience, the food, and service is consistently great, I highly recommend Trattoria Polipo and I will return again in the future.

Lasagna is my go to and it never disappoints. The shrimp scampi was also superb. All the pasta is made in-house, so you may need to wait a little, but it is well worth it, so enjoy a cocktail in the interim.

I ordered a bottle of wine from the Veneto region of Italy. The server was extremely friendly pouring a tasting glass . This bottle and probably the all case, was oxidized by allowing the cork dry allowing air in the bottle. That's I asked for a different bottle and explained why, but in a few minutes some bartender came over and tried to convince me otherwise. Rude and not professional. Also the homemade pasta was delivered to us cold . Cacio and Pepe cold , not from a restaurant that claims to serve good Italian food

Had a great experience last night at Trattoria Polipo. The drinks were on point. I especially enjoyed the Bourbon Blackberry Sour. Both my wife and I loved the calamari, which was fresh and the mushroom pasta dish was very good as well. The pistachio rice pudding was excellent. The service was wonderful. Our server Courtney was excellent and took great care of us. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The food was outstanding as always! The service was extremely slow and we waited almost about an hour and 15 minutes for our entrees after we finished the appetizers. The server was apologetic but no offers were made to accommodate for the delay. The table beside us arrived, was served, and left all before we received our entrees.

The espresso old fashioned, the steak au poivre, and the gelato flight were all huge hits. Service was friendly, but could have been a little more attentive. All in all, it was a great experience and I plan to be back again.
