As much as I love the octopus here, I had a very disappointing experience with the management at this restaurant. The manager Courtney actually told us we should feel “lucky” to be sitting where we were. How dare you speak to paying customers in such a dismissive way—as if my money doesn’t count just as much as anyone else’s. When I dine out, I expect respect, not condescension. Every guest deserves to be treated equally and made to feel welcome, no matter where they are seated. The attitude displayed was rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable for a place of hospitality.
Stellar service and rich food. This is truly authentic Italian food. I’ve been to Italy and dated an Italian whose mother cooked Italian dishes often. There are several menu options that are very Italian. Even the way the menu is organized is just like it is in Italy. I ordered red wine and lasagna. The bread and oil were complementary. The salad came with the lasagna.

Delicious food. Well worth the wait. Our server was fabulous, I forget her name but when I let her know I had a food allergy she was on it, talking with the chef and making sure my meal was both tasty and I didn’t have to worry about my food allergy. Give this place a try. You won’t regret it.

Tried it out for a date night and we're thoroughly impressed. Good choices over a wide range of good Italian food. All pasta is made fresh in house - so delicious! The octopus We got was cooked perfectly. The wine list was extensive but not overwhelming.
We definitely want to come back and bring our kids along with us.

Bottom line up front ; I was disappointed after waiting so long to finally dine in this establishment. Long story long; I celebrate my Mother's birthday by enjoying her favorite foods. She's gone now but when we lived in Italy she loved trying different things. I've tried the other local Italian venues so I finally made reservations here.
I live on a fixed budget, spent $100(-) tip and it did not live up to my expectations. Good news first, I didn't have to wait to be seated. The restaurant was quiet. My waiter was very attentive ( although he couldn't tell my why my dessert took so long).
Salad -was truly fresh, a plus but minimally dressed
Classic Margarita - yummy but $15 in a highball glass? Really ?
Escargot- only flavor was parsley and barely that
Arancini - (+) it was golden brown and crispy but lacked flavor and that cheesy goodness. The sauce underneath was tasty.
Chicken Marsala -the pasta was perfecto Mundo. I wasn't expecting whole button mushroom but ok. The sauce left it 50/50.
Cheesecake -enjoyed it until the artificial aftertaste hit. Or maybe it was too much of something they make it with....
Would I eat here again ? Perhaps to try one of their other pasta entrees in case the chef was just having an off evening.
This is just to say reviews change according to taste buds, the real food and yes the chef. Trattoria Polipo seems like you can do better at being consistent. But I'm still ok with having the chance to experience your cuisine.
