Inexpensive, quick- very good Southern comfort food. Mac and cheese, fried chicken, chicken tenders, green beans, pork chops, and hush puppies are my favorites. The mashed potatoes are REAL- this place was a staple when I was growing up and I still love it.
There is a wife saver in my area. However, I travel to the Augusta location when I'm craving good soul food. The food is delicious and seasoned to perfection. Be careful drinking the sweet tea. It's very sweet and gives diabetes. Service is also excellent. Keep up the good work!
My wife and I recently visited this restaurant. She had fried chicken, I had fish and shrimp. Her food was fine, but my shrimp were cold, hard, and chewy. I was told the fish was supposed to be whiting, but it looked like tilapia. I do not like tilapia. At least the sides were good.
