Local, local, local breakfast joint and lunch with buffet option. I've driven by the "breakfast served all day" sign for over a year. Only one "all day" menu option. If 3 eggs with meat and grits is not your preference get there before 11 am. Was able to get double meat and did fine.

Not sure what happened in the last 6 months but prior to, this place was our favorite breakfast place that we visited many times. It used to be affordable and really good with the affordable prices making up for low end atmosphere and dining utilities. But now they cost as much as The Sawmill Place (which is much higher end) and now their food isn’t even good anymore. I used to get excited every trip for the biscuit and grits and I only took a bite of each. Their coffee has always been watered down but now costs 3.25! Pls don’t lose focus on this place and cut corners just because you own a bar next door now :( Go back to better ingredients, make kid plates small and way cheaper, and for goodness sake don’t change credit card fees in your already high prices.

Just tried this restaurant for the first time really due to the lower ratings. I should have went with my gut and on the low ratings before I just spent 44.00. Both my husband and I ran out of our drink, had to ask for refill. I ordered the fried chicken (old grease?), white or dark meat? I asked for white meat, I received a chicken breast and a leg. Hmmm. Mashed potatoes were good, fried corn not. My husband ordered the Shrimp n Grits, was barely luke warm, ? eww cold shrimp n Grits, they heated it up, the taste was "ok", nothing to write home about. I rarely come on to give bad reviews, I usually just don't go back, but this was all very disappointing and I'm tired of spending money on subpar food. This was not worth the 16.99/19.99 PLUS per plate. We do love to go out to eat and don't mind paying for good food, but lately we've been cooking more at home, I think that seems best these days. I wanted to add, we didn't know about the veteran room, noticed after we were sitting for a while, I do appreciate that, we are both veterans. Thanks for recognizing veterans. We just never mentioned it.

I visit here when I need veggies. Especially collards. Good down home cooking. I got a bonus this day with bread pudding for dessert. Waitress was prompt and I had no issues with my service dog eating with me.Vegetarian options: A good variety of veggies

I hate to but I have to change my review. I have been coming to this restraunt for years, and it's always been great....until last night. ( March 9th). The service was ok, a bit slow. We finally placed our order. About 40 minutes later we received our food. We ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatos, okra and corn bread. The chicken obviously was NOT fresh and had been refried in hopes of making it appear fresh. It was so hard and dry you couldn't eat it.The okra was ok, the mashed potatoes were stone cold except for the middle, which to me indicates old potatoes rewarmed in a microwave, and the corn bread was straight from the fridg. The portions have also shrank significantly, but didn't matter it wasn't edible. We drove up from Atlanta because it's always been good. And for a 45 dollar dinner, atleast I expect the food to be edible. We won't be back and I can no longer recommend this restraunt.

Southern cuisine and comfort food with a buffet option. We were a part of 5. No one was particularly impressed with the food, but the service was great.

They have a veteran room with photos of soldiers who served during all wars. Very patriotic.

Love the southern home cooking!! One of our favorite lunch spots. However a little disappointed we no longer get a law enforcement discount, however the new changes to the dinner menu are delightful. Can't stress enough how awesome the food is and the staff is top notch!!! Enjoy!!!
