Wow. This restaurant was incredibly good. From the staff to the mood, to the food. Their rack of lamb was phenomenal and Stephanie the server is so lovely.
They went the extra mile to make my birthday dinner a special one and were tremendously kind to a member of our party who moves a bit slower than the rest.
Highly recommended; will be back!

Very nice atmosphere and the staff were amazing. I had the salmon and couldn’t believe the serving size. A lot more food than most other places. And tasted amazing.

Wife and I stopped for a night cap before heading back to Florida. The bar staff is amazing and the place itself is upscale. Outer bartender was from tampa so made great conversation. Definitely will be returning back one day.

Ashley, the bartender was absolutely fantastic, personable, and so engaging. Her drinks were amazing. The food was great. But she made the experience.

Wife and I visited on our honeymoon and had one of the best meals we have EVER tasted. Connie was our server and she was fantastic- attentive, descriptive, and friendly. The food was tremendous. Portions were generously sized and the plated presentation was attractive. I have patronized restaurants with a Michelin star that were incomparable to the Black Sheep in terms of flavor complexity and freshness of ingredients. The price was surprisingly low given the quality of the experience. We ate a 5-course meal (no alcoholic drinks) for just over $100, not including gratuity. The vibe was upscale Cajun/Creole and the home-like atmosphere was cozy, but the brassy, syncopated New Orleans jazz music in the background was too loud and we found it distracting. Overall it was an overwhelmingly positive experience. This is a must-eat restaurant for us whenever we're around North Georgia. It's worth driving 1hr+ to visit.

First rate every time! Lovely atmosphere! Delicious cocktails! The salad was fresh and delightful! I had the meatloaf! Amazing! So much to eat too! Macy our server was a blast. She knew what to suggest, and gave us a great experience. It’s the best place to eat in Blue Ridge!

We visited from out of town this past weekend, and I cannot recommend this spot highly enough. The restaurant, food, and drinks were all fantastic, but the real standout was our server. Jenna created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere and went above and beyond to make our experience truly exceptional. She made a genuine impact on our visit, and I believe The Black Sheep is incredibly lucky to have her.

Was a little cold sitting outside, but they tried their best with heaters. Need more!

Great food, excellent service, very cozy atmosphere, only thing keeping it from 5 stars was a slight lack of salt, especially on the ribeye.

What a quaint historical type of feel from the front door to bar to the dining room. Service was exceptional. Food was delicious. We went here for our anniversary and they treated us both like gold with a free dessert. Thank you for such a great experience.

After years of great meals and experiences at the Black Sheep I’m disappointed to say they have dropped their standing with me.
We, a party of 4 received 3 outa 4 meals lukewarm. Unfortunately, we had to ask twice for bread and chase down staff for a refill after the dinners arrived. The bowl set empty for probably 10 minutes.
Probably my fault, but I like my salad crispy and to taste like salad. Not drenched and taste only of dressing…., again my personal taste. Should have asked for dressing on the side. We had to share the steak knife between the duck and the steak. Eventually someone showed up and scared up a steak knife for the steak. A lot of the complaints centered around a busy server. But, they weren’t that crowded compared to past visits. I’m thinking she must have been too spread out in the home. Very polite, possibly just overwhelmed.
The ambience was excellent, a vintage home up on the hill near town. Probably won’t be rushing back to the Sheep

The food was outstanding! I really liked the concept of walking up to the counter and then them bringing it to your table. Cool outdoor seating too. Only downside was the wait...we waited almost an hour from the time we ordered to getting our food. Great food, but can't be in a rush.

Pretty restaurant. It's a shame the service is absolutely atrocious. I came with a 10 person bachelorette party that had made reservations in advance. They booked us for their last time slot of the day (9:15pm). We arrived early and they told us we could go ahead and go the bar to buy a drink and wait. We did and all ordered a drink. We mentioned we had a reservation and that we all needed seperate checks except for the bride. Instead of taking our seperare orders one at a time and fulfilling them to ensure we could leave as soon as possible to be seated, the bartender chose to take everyone's order first. By the time we had been called to leave for our table less than half of us had our orders filled. We were then told we couldn't leave because the bar couldn't transfer our tabs to our table. Instead of offering to cancel our orders they made us stand and wait. The drink I ordered required opening a new bottle of higher shelf liquor but instead if doing that they just gave me a half full glass (based solely on the context of how full everyone else's similar glasses were). $15 for a single shot of Grey goose + $2 more for the ability to turn it into a white Russian seemed a little high to me, but it did taste correct. By the time we got to our table the waitress demanded we order immediately because the kitchen was closing. She gave the disclosure that she couldn't split a tab more than 4 ways so we decided who all would split the bride's tab and then expected her to come to the other 6 ladies and take our orders individually. Instead of doing that, she complained about us only ordering two things for the 4 person tab. We began to ask if she meant the entire table had to be on ONE tab she just got mad and walked away. She never even asked or spoke to anyone else. Because we weren't allowed to order ANYTHING for MOST of our party we just cancelled what we had ordered and left. It was an AWFUL experience and upset our bride-to-be quite a bit. Luckily we found another restaurant that was more accommodating.
