Beautiful property. Just didn’t have a good experience and we could see we were likely one of the few - maybe the restaurant was just having a bad night and we were the recipients. Reservations at 7:15 - finally paged at 7:45 and then were told there was an error with the pagers - would be another five minutes. Were literally sat in the main foyer right next to the wait station and had everyone walk right next to us headed to the restroom. Short on wait staff. Ordered pork belly...
As a self-proclaimed food enthusiast, I can confidently say that the atmosphere of this exquisite restaurant, housed in a beautifully restored 120-year-old home and nestled beneath a majestic 200-year-old oak tree, is simply enchanting. From the moment we stepped in, we were treated like royalty, receiving exceptional service from both the manager and our attentive server. I can’t recommend this place highly enough—the food was nothing short of spectacular.
The inside of this restaurant has a vintage look with pretty chandeliers. We both ordered the red velvet waffles and chicken. It was pretty good! I will say there were parts of the chicken that tasted very spicy.
