I just live the ambience of Mountain Mama's coffee shop in Blue Ridge. The atmosphere created there is something I haven't experienced before. Thank you Moe and your very friendly and efficient team. We will be back.
The menu on appearance is pretty fantastic, and the only speciality coffee shop in the area. I take my matcha pretty seriously and was very excited to try theirs. Because of experiences at other coffee shops I usually ask for more matcha because what I’m served is basically matcha flavored milk. I did that here but the temp of the water or milk was so high that all the flavors of the matcha were burnt. I really wanted to like this place so I went back again and offered up what I thought was the issue. This time the matcha was the perfect temp but they didn’t use enough matcha powder. Also service is incredibly dependent on how busy they are. I can’t speak for the coffee because I’m strictly a matcha drinker, but my partner said it was mid. I’d say if speciality coffee is what you’re after it’ll be the best option you’ve got in blue ridge.

The drip coffee was not drinkable. It tasted sour and grassy. The atmosphere is fantastic! It’s a very cute place. The coffee is just terrible. We had to pour it out. Also, do not sit in the far end of the porch or you will be asked to move.

the iced vanilla latte i ordered was very tasty. the bagel and sun-dried tomato spread were also very good! very cool vibes and super friendly staff. much like other reviews left for this establishment, i do feel it’s overpriced for the amount you get, but that’s my opinion.

We absolutely LOVED visiting Mountain Mama coffee. We planned an Easter mountain vacation in Cherry Log and I am definitely the type to research the best spots. I do not regret taking time to visit this coffee shop. Tucked behind quaint downtown Blue Ridge, this coffee shop has the best outdoor seating, unique drinks, great indoor atmosphere, AND you must get the Fresh Greens bagel!!! Absolutely fantastic food, coffee, and vibe. Worth the stop.

From the fresh made syrups to the atmosphere, this is a must try! Don’t waste time deciding which drink to try, I recommend doing the flight with every new menu drop. If you are local go ahead and sign up for the rewards program, you will definitely be back if you love coffee or teas. There is nothing like the relaxation I feel sitting down here drinking that first sip of coffee.
