“I’m a very opinionated person and I’m tough to be completely impressed with a restaurant, but this place was awesome. I was at first concerned as my family was would we like the food. Well just to let everyone know if you like trying new stuff or like to experience different food this is the place to go. I’ve never gave a restaurant a 5 thumbs up 👍🏼, but I was so impressed and my 12 year old granddaughter was also as much as my cousin and her 17 year old daughter. The vibe was awesome the waitress and manager made us feel so welcome even the hostess was really friendly. We sat outside and it was so relaxing and cozy. I can’t even brag enough on the food, workers, and the atmosphere there. We are already planning birthday trips and having family join us for the experience. Go try for yourself and have an open mind about the food. We were like ummm not so sure, but the blends were out of this world. ❤️🙌🙌“

“We came here because of the great reviews, even though we were originally planning to go to Five Guys and we’re so happy we decided to try this spot instead! Pat was amazing and helped us decide what food to try. He even provided samples to make sure we’d be happy with our choices, which really made a difference.
We ordered three kids’ meals, and our kids were very happythey ate everything and were full by the end. We also had the oxtail, and it was incredible: very meaty, tender, and full of flavor. Everything was on point.

“I live out of town & go to Brunswick at least once every week & eat at Maggie Mae’s. They are so nice, very fast service, always checking on you & the food is Amazing! I definitely recommend them!! They even serve breakfast all day. I just wish they were open later. Sometimes my appointments are after 2 pm & they’re closed so I miss out but I always eat here whenever I can! Lovely people & great atmosphere!“

“The Glynn Academy Girl's Golf Team won the 6A State Championship on Tuesday, May 17, at the Jekyll Island Golf Club. They chose to celebrate together at Marshside afterwards. Once the waitress/owner found out they were State Champs, they put all of their meals on the house. What a super generous thing for them to do to show their support for their local High School! “First thing I noticed was how clean it was inside, and then the service was also just as impressive! Christine and Fonta(or maybe Vonta?) were working the dinner rush alone and were absolutely amazing despite being clearly swamped by call-ins, customers and DD orders. I would rather wait a few minutes and see two smiling faces than get quick rude service any day. They were both working as fast as they could, with excellent teamwork and communication. They were short of help but made the best of it. This is the kind of help you want to keep! They both deserve a raise, in my opinion. I haven’t had service like that in the last ten years.“

“Picked up a pretty big order from Sumo Hibachi & Sushi. Overall verdict: some hits, some mids, but for the price? Not bad at all.

Let’s start with the sushi. Overall, it was kinda mid except for the spicy tuna roll, that one was actually amazing and carried the team. The eel avocado roll was okay, nothing special, just vibing. California roll was… a California roll. Shrimp tempura and volcano sushi were decent, did their job. Vegetable spring rolls were mid, no disrespect but no excitement either.

We also ordered the shrimp hibachi, which was actually solid. Some of the food was really good, some was just there, but honestly for what we paid, it felt worth it.

Pickup experience was a little chaotic. My card randomly decided to stop working, so I ended up paying cash like it was 2007. I asked the lady for extra pink sauce and she said she already gave us some, I meant extra extra. Turns out we had more than enough anyway, so that one’s on me. BUT I do wish I asked for more soy sauce because they only gave us two packets… for a big order. Two soy sauces is just criminal.

I wanted to double-check the order before leaving, but the plastic bag was tied with a knot stronger than my will to argue, and they were busy, so I just grabbed the bags and dipped.

By the time we got back to the Airbnb (about 15 minutes away), the food was cold. It was raining, it’s winter, and physics was not on our side, we still ate it though.

One more thing: no sweet potato roll and no peanut avocado roll. Honestly… just shut the restaurant down at that point 😭 (I’m joking… kinda).

Final thoughts: sushi was hit or miss, hibachi was good, price was fair, and I’d probably come back, but next time I’m asking for extra soy sauce like my life depends on it.“

“They have a nice variety of chicken salad to choose from. I got the Jalapeno Holly because I like spicy foods. As usual, it was delicious. I got one scoop and it comes with some crackers, a dill pickle spear and a little yummy shortbread cookie. If you want something outside of the usual fast food choices, check them out!“

“we stopped in Brunswick Georgia for the night on the way to Florida. we asked it front desk person at the hotel where to get a berger and a beer. she recommended Toucans Ale House. We had a great time the food was great we sat a the bar and the bartender was wonderful. will stop the again.“
