“This is a restaurant that you walk in and place your order, go ahead and pay for your food at register, get your drink, then find a table wherever you want to sit and they will bring your food to you. It was around 12:30pm and they were pretty busy. From our experience, you go back to the counter to request more drink refills. They have takeout boxes for you to grab at the end of the counter, so you can take your leftover food home. I'm sure if there is anything you need when someone walks by they will still get it for you. One of our plates consisted of fried livers and gizzards and they were some of the best around. Another plate was fried chicken, and it was pretty good. I did happen to see slices of homemade chocolate cake that had several layers at the register as we walked out to leave. It looked good.“

“Popeyes is a new fast food restaurant in Cairo. It has been crowded and this was our first time eating there. My wife had a chicken sandwich and fries and I had chicken fingers, slaw and a biscuit. I had a soft drink and my wife had water. I like Pepsi products but my wife much prefers Coca-Cola, no Pepsi for her. The chicken was delicious, the slaw not so much, seemed too dry. I enjoyed the biscuit, taste of butter on it, just needed some jelly.“
