We enjoyed the smoked trout dip , then , a manager brought us a complimentary appetizer ( the famous chips) simply because it was our first time at a Marlow’s! “We went to Reel on the recommendation of a nice couple we met at Refomation Brewery. We were seated promptly and ordered 2 drafts and the grilled octopus. The appetizer had grilled sliced octopus with truffled home fries, pickled red onions and a sherry mustard jus, a perfectly balanced starter. For mains we had blackened redfish with tomato crayfish butter, and pan sautéed flounder with lemon caper butter sauce. Both fish were superbly cooked. All presented food was carefully presented. All the while, we enjoyed music by Martin Joseph who we talked to and he couldn't have been nicer. Great ambience, great food, stellar night out in Woodstock.
