“This was our first visit to Local Expedition, so the lady behind the counter introduced us to their offerings and how to order. WOW was it worth the quick learning curve. Fantastic food and very reasonable prices. Really good vegetables. We tried the smoked chicken (chopped and super soft/tender), rice, carmelized carrots, broccoli, zucchini squash, carmelized brussel sprouts, potstickers and some kind of really unique corn on the cobb. Loved it all, but especially the carrots, chicken, brussel sprouts, and the cilantro sauce that came with the meal. We now who to try next for catering. Great find!“
“So my husband and I went out for the night in Alpharetta and stumbled across this place. The sign is not big and the entrance is down an alleyway so it felt like a cool secret. Up to the 5th floor we went and had a drink at the bar. What a cool experience. The bartenders quickly greeted us and actually introduced us to the whole bar staff. The drinks were amazing. The food looked really good but we had dinner plans elsewhere. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would totally come back. Apparently they're under new management and I can see it's going well as we had a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back.“
“Typically I go to the Crabapple location, but sometimes I'll go to this Alpharetta location for lunch. I had the banana walnut waffles today and they were excellent as usual. I appreciated the kind service too. I'm glad Nest Cafe has continued to thrive over the years.“
“It is an intimate spot that fills the room with music and energy. The food is amazing and the audience of music enthusiast from multiple genres. The wait staff and bar is exceptional customer service. It is highly recommended. But make your reservations early because they sell out fast.“

“We came with a party of five and were promptly seated. The hostess was great, and so was the table. The server greeted us and didn't rush us with taking appetizer and drink orders. The wine came right away. The appetizer took a while, but it was a hot and delicious dish. We ordered steaks and didn't get them for an hour or more. The steaks were tasty. He did come back to check if we were happy with the steaks and we unanimously. One of our guests was the birthday. He got a very nice dish of sweets enough for sharing though he demolished the plate. I had to find the server and ask for a dessert menu. I've rarely, if ever, had to locate a server for anything else due to long gaps of time between services. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because the restaurant was busy, we came at a busy time. The staff were pleasant, respectful, and welcoming. The food was very good. I really liked the server. He must have been busy with a lot of tables. Perhaps help from a food runner would have helped.“
“We were to lazy dog for a birthday party. Taylor was our server and she was excellent. The firecracker shrimp was amazing. We got the trout, green beans and substituted the potatoes for mashed cauliflower. All excellent.Dietary restrictions: I am pre diabetic so I substituted mashed cauliflower for the potatoes.“
“Fabulous. Host Sydney adorable, servers Lainy and Kat so nice but of course best getting a visit from famous Chef Liv! She Engaged the whole bar where we wee sitting.l and was so nice ans funny! Ok the food- Waghu meatballs were so delicious and the sauce was perfect. Pasta special was creamy perfection- would eat Every Day. Restaurant was full and bustling but not overcrowded. Cant wait for warmer temps to sit on that patio and enjoy a rose and charcuterie!“

“This was my wife's and I first time here. Not sure what I was expecting but with Tavern in the name, I was thinking peanut shells on the floor. Nope! It was beautifully decorated inside. We went on a Saturday around 5ish so it was not too crowded and got seated with no reservations.Our waitresses was very nice and repeated our order which was an added bonus.I had a Ceasar salad which was not drenched in dressing. It had the perfect amount.Then our mains came out. I had the Prime Rib. It was perfect. Some places you get a 14oz prime that is 10oz of fat, not thos place. Perfect amount of marbling. Only complaint was the horseradish didn't really have any bite to it, but that is ok.The Village Tavern is definitely added to our rotation of places to go.My wife had a burger that she said was good. Some places she gets a burger from and they are no better than Wendy's but this, she said was really good.The only reason I dropped lower in atmosphere was because we were seated next to the kitchen. I would say if you are going to have a discussion, move to an location not next to where people are sitting. Didn't bother me but some might have an issue.Parking: Just be aware that there are signs that says the restaurant is not responsible for lost items. Nothing happened when we were there, but follow the signs.“
“The quality and portions of the food are very disappointing. From all.of the reviews he obviously has the wrong chef. The lobster smelled bad and tasted the same and should of been 86ed and not served at all. Taffer knows better then this, also should know their nothing wrong with high prices if your customer sees value and I seen no value at all. They design and decor is very nice with a laid back yet elegant feel. Did not try any alcoholic beverages and an employee also brought her child to work and was cheering her kid on saying "go go go" while she ran all over the place.“

“I was visiting the hotel and ate at the bar several times. The food was great! The wings were crisp and juicy with great flavor. I also tried the chicken sandwich. This is next level with pimento cheese and apricot jam were fantastic! I definitely recommend it. If you want something light, go for the charcuterie! I did and I don’t regret it, but I wish I had ordered an extra to go home with. Last but certainly not the least are the bartenders and the drinks. Zach and Leslie are wonderful hosts with great personalities. Not only that, they can make 5 star drinks!!! My favorite 2 of the weekend were a bourbon sidecar and a vieux carre. These were both recommended by them and they were amazing not too sweet with a kick. Love it!!! Highly recommended and I will be back!“
“It’s Always a vibe when I’m there! Best time to go is around 11/11:30! DJ is always on point and the music is always hype. The only negative is that they need better hookah coals, but other than that their selections are awesome. All the employees are super nice and always make sure you and your party are taken care of. This is now my go to spot!“
“Had an amazing experience and Tek was an awesome server.We ordered the white bean hummus as an appetizer which was delicious and very filling. It came with pita triangles which were very tasty. Would be nice to have veggie options (carrots, celery, cucumber, and olives). Our main course was the pork chop and the trout. Unbelievably delicious!! The pork chop was served on a textured slate plate which I was not a fan of but it didn't take away from the dish. I'll just ask for a regular plate next time.We'll definitely be going back!“

“The salad are always very good with perfectly paired salad dressings. We tried the special Coconut Shrimp Appetizer- I wouldn't order it again as the shrimp did not appear to be prepared in house with fresh plus it was lacking flavor. The spicy sweet and sour shrimp dipping sauce was really good though. The Grilled Salmon Salad and Southern Fried Chicken Salad are very tasty.“
“I got the grilled spicy chicken with brown rice and sweet fries. The fries were the best part. The chicken was ok. It was more like spicy Buffalo which isn’t my personal favorite, but besides the Buffalo taste the chicken was juicy and good flavoring.“
“An amazing experience with decor that makes you immediately say 'ah'. The service was great, as were the food, drinks and atmosphere. We loved the beef curry crepes, Brussel sprouts and I personally ordered the most delicious Caesar salad with shrimp with crispy chickpeas. Please make this a destination when you are in the Avalon area, and I promise, you will be glad you came. BTW, we did make dinner reservations.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu too“
