“Went here for dinner. Everything we ate was so tasty (fried shrimp, trout, catch of the day, lamb burger). Except for the sweet breads which we didn't care for, but they took them off the bill which was considerate. The regular, more reasonably priced cocktails are excellent. The more premium cocktails are just straight booze though, not recommended, were too strong with no flavor or balance. But the standard cocktails were so refreshing.“

“Had a fabulous birthday experience here back in March! The service was stellar - friendly yet professional. We had an event to attend after dinner and, despite a short timeframe, service flowed smoothly and didn't feel rushed. Our favorites were the charred cabbage, the complimentary heart kebab, and the duck. I had been eyeing the heart on the coursed menu, but since we decided to go with the a-la-carte option to try more things, I had to let it go. You can imagine my delight when it was brought out as a gift from the kitchen! (Thank you Patrick! I'm sure you had a hand in making that happen.) The desserts were creative and interesting. I would definitely recommend giving both the melon sorbet and white pepper ice cream a try as their flavor combinations were very unique.“

“So let me start by saying I frequented this location, like probably 3-4 times a month during my lunch break.

I always went to the bar, so much so they began recognizing me. I convinced my coworker to come and he joined me a number of times.

Fabiola (apologies if I misspelled your name darling) is by far one of the best bartender/servers I've had in my entire 32 years of living. She not only remembers that I'm vegan and grabs the vegan menu as soon as I walk up she greets me with such joy and warmth that the one day I didn't see her my heart broke a little. Gerald (I think his name is) is also such a sweet soul, he came onboard not too long ago and also began greeting me with the same warmth as Fabiola.

Fabiola makes a mean (and when I say mean I mean DELICIOUS) sangria. I mean those sangrias need to be renamed Fabiolas they are so good.

The tomato flatbreads to die for, brussel sprouts snatch a wig, the avocado toast beats California avocado toast (trust me I lived out there for 3 years), and again those sangrias no one will ever beat a Fabiola sangria, I'd bet $1,000 on it haha. On my latest visit I tried the corn flatbread and it was also delicious. Mind you these are all being made vegan style, so I can only imagine the flavor depth if you get them as they're on the menu/non-vegan style.

Unfornately, my office is moving to the other side of the perimeter so my frequent bi-weekly visits will likely become sporadic weekend pop-ins, but my gosh the Seasons 52 in Dunwoody (especially the bar) is definitely top 3 in my favorite restaurants.“

“We went for brunch, and the buffet was very varied and delicious, and the atmosphere very nice.

However, they still have a lot of work to do when it comes to customer service. Starting with the hostess, who made us feel as though we were bothering her and that seating us was a favor. Even though there were plenty of available tables, half of the sunroom was empty, and several tables had just been cleared, she was extremely reluctant to give us a table there.

The reservation clearly states that the brunch seating is for two hours, yet after only one hour, the check was brought to us without our asking for it.

Unfortunately, you are left with the impression that this is a high-volume operation focused on turning tables over quickly, rather than a place where the customer comes first.“

“July 05, 2025 Greetings, This evening, I had the opportunity to celebrate my 40th birthday, and to mark the occasion, my partner and I chose to dine at a fine dining establishment in downtown Atlanta. Regrettably, after we visited your downtown Atlanta location, it became clear that my hope for an outstanding dining experience was unlikely to be met. Upon our arrival, we had to wait despite having made a reservation several hours earlier. Eventually, we were seated at a table no larger than a nightstand. I immediately observed that, unlike the other tables, the candle on ours was unlit. This should have served as an indication of the service to follow. Once seated, we were presented with the menu and asked for two sweet teas. Soon after, we placed our orders. After waiting twenty minutes, we realized that our drinks had been forgotten. We subsequently reminded our waitress that we had ordered two sweet iced teas. After an additional ten minutes, our drinks arrived. Fifteen minutes later, our food finally arrived. Upon its arrival, I noticed a sticky substance around the $75 steak I had ordered. After considerable effort to cut into it, I tasted the meat and found it to be overcooked—its flavor reminiscent of a meal unintentionally left on the grill by an intoxicated cook. It was unsatisfactory, and I requested a remake. At this point, we had spent over an hour at your restaurant, and the staff began cleaning up. Finally, around 12:05 a.m., the re-cooked steak was brought out. Although it was an improvement over the first, it still did not merit the price of $75. Given that my potatoes were cold and the minimal ice in my refilled iced tea had melted, I opted to forgo the steak altogether. My partner, who is more willing to accept mediocre service, encouraged me to take the steak back to the hotel, which led us to request a to-go box. Ten minutes later, we received a small cardboard box, barely big enough for my food. Further, we were not offered anything to carry the sauce in, utensils, or even a bag. Shortly after, we received our bill, which totaled approximately $195.00, excluding gratuity. At that moment, I was overwhelmed with emotion and informed my partner that I needed a few minutes outside to collect my thoughts. I found it challenging to rationalize $200 for a meal arguably valued at $20 and customer service worth $10. Despite my objections, my partner insisted on refraining from discussing this matter with a manager. He wanted to avoid any conflict on my birthday. While I appreciate his noble intentions, I possess a strong aversion to inequality in any form. The treatment we received in an establishment that professes luxury and exemplary customer service was inadequate and perhaps a sign of your treatment towards Minority LGBT customers. We deserved a better experience. Although my birthday weekend was great, this experience was horrible. I am genuinely disappointed with my visit to your Atlanta location. “Tabby was in town and in usual Tabby flow she was exploring the atlasobscura website and came across The Consulate. As such, we decided to go. We had reservations for 06:15 on a Friday. Arriving about 20 minutes early as traffic happened to be light, we were able to be seated early without any issues. Upon entering the restaurant the hallway decor captures your attention as you focus on the selected hues of blue and artwork placement. Upon being seated we were immediately greeted by Cindy. Cindy arrived all smiles coupled with a huge personality and warm welcome. As this was our first time she took a moment to explain to us the menu selections, geographical inspiration, as well as answer the few questions we had about select items. Cindy’s education of the menu and experience with the foods added to the food deciding experience. Major shout out to Cindy. The ambiance of the restaurant is high energy, captivating and explorative. As you look around the restaurant it puts you in the mindset of being inside one of the classic true to theme castles in an Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider movie. LoL! At any moment Laura Croft could walk in and grab one of the items on display and head out for her next mission. LoL! I decided on the String Beans with a side of Mexican Rice and I was more than satisfied with the flavor profile of my meal. The string beans were flavor stacked with the slight sweet from the sauce and the spice from the peppers. The texture was spot on for a true sautéed experience as well as the portion was perfect… The Mexican rice paired well with the string beans as it provided a texture variation as well as it was seasoned well but not overpowering in comparison to the string beans. This was truly a 10/10 experience. The service, the environment, and the food were all superb. Whether for a personal 2 person dinner or after work friend vibe, The Consulate is truly a must try for any occasion.“

“Really great service (save one bad experience when they had electrical problems) and yummy food that’s a twist on Florida/Alabama bbq. I love the use of fresh herbs on most of the plates and pickled things, and most everything I’ve tried is full of umami. This is not a place to go obviously if you want a light meal - full fat, full cream - southern comfort food. I do wish they had a few lighter healthier options on the menu for times when you’re with a group but don’t feel like eating something heavy. Biggest complaint would be that there’s too much salt on everything. Overall this is really great restaurant with awesome atmosphere and great wait staff.“
