Waiters can be extremely rude. One of them told my GF "Don't Waste Food" when collecting a soup bowl with a slight amount she had left over. I was shocked. As for the food, dim sum is criminally overpriced in relation to the quality and substance of the offerings. The restaurant sells people on the beauty of the facility. But, everything else consistently underwhelms.

The food was good, but the dim sum offerings were repetitious and limited in selection. We wanted some vegetables such as Chinese broccoli and it simply wasn't available in the carts. We ordered it off of a menu we requested and then of course a cart appears with the broccoli. I really enjoy the Jasmine hot tea here.

Fast service, great food! We went here with a party of 8 and enjoyed a wide variety of dishes. Everything was very fresh and hot. The scallops were my favorite!

This restaurant is beautifully decorated, but the quality of the food is not good. We went to this restaurant recently and ordered fried pancakes. The fish fillet had spoiled, so we took it out and replaced it with other dishes. The seafood restaurant cannot guarantee the freshness of the ingredients, which makes our guests feel uneasy. I don’t want to go anymore!

Came here for dim sum on a nice Sunday morning with parents and a 1 year old toddler and sadly to say food and service was much below minimum standards. The egg tart tasted really weird so I just had two bites. Rest of the dim sum dishes were just ok and tasted very simply made. Unfortunately after eating I had a really bad stomach ache and had to go to their bathroom for a good amount of time. Adding to the stress that I had a flight to catch right after the meal. The service was also horrible. They demanded a credit card BEFORE we can see the bill. We argued back and forth and they finally went and printed the bill for us to see. We had 4 adults and 1 toddler and were charged 20% tips on the bill. When we asked the waitress about it she said 6+ people have the auto 20% tip charge. We then said no we have 4 adults and 1 toddler and the waitress said 5+ people have the 20% tip charge. My husband was like what you just said 6 people. She then said oh let me double check and see if we can give you the tip money back. And she never came back after waiting 5 mins so we just left. Not that we needed the extra tip money we just want to be fairly charged and tips be fairly given for the service. They also won’t allow using multiple credit cards which sucks but I’m guessing the restaurant doesn’t want to pay for the transaction fees. Too bad for the restaurant losing a returning customer.

I recently visited Royal China in Duluth with some friends for a dim sum outing and left feeling quite disappointed. The restaurant itself is large and beautifully decorated, and when we arrived, there were many people waiting for a table. This gave me the impression that the food would be good, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype.

We ordered a variety of dishes, including some of their more exclusive items like Ebi sweet shrimp and shark fin soup, along with several dim sum options. However, the overall quality of the food was below my expectations. The flavors were lacking, and some dishes didn't taste as fresh as I would have hoped.

Additionally, the service was not up to standard. Given how busy and popular the restaurant seems to be, I expected much better in terms of both food quality and service.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and has great potential, but it fell short in delivering a satisfying dining experience. I would give it 3 stars based on my visit.

Nice and huge space that is very busy. They walk by with a cart full of different foods and desserts. I liked the taste of foods and desserts. You can order foods off of the menu or from the cart. Either or, or both.
If you grab foods from the cart, they mark it on the slip on the table. The only thing that I didn’t like was that I didn’t know how much I was being charged. It wasn’t buffet but there was no price on the cart.
Family of 5 with 2 adults and 3 kids under 10 and the fjnal bill withe tip we paid little over $150.

Royal China is definitely a little gem of metro Atlanta. We’ve been here 2 times on our own and 1 other time for a wedding. The service is impeccable every single time. Our table is always filled with food within 10 minutes of arriving if not less. Empty plates are removed within a couple minutes. Water refilled instantly. Never had to flag anyone down for anything as someone is always attentive to our needs and takes care of them without needing to ask. We had been to Canton House 2 previously and after being seated for over 2 hours, we left discussing heading somewhere else to get more food as we were still very hungry. That place is simply not real lol I won’t go into it since my review here is for RC. Do yourself a favor and order their egg tarts. One of the best egg tarts I have ever had in my life. Pair your dim sum experience with their oolong tea and you won’t regret it. Takes us about 25 mins to go to RC from where we live but the drive is so worth it. I’m excited to bring our families here when they visit. ❤️

If you want the best service from them, go early. You may get served by the right waiter, then you can enjoy delicious dim sum and good service. If you go around lunch time and sit at the end of the hall, you may never get the dim sum you are waiting for. They may run out of food or just simply turn around and never get to you. You may want to get up and find them, but someone will send you back and the waiter won’t help remind the rolling cart to come around. Oh, did I mention that your tea will never get refilled. The waiter just looked at us and walked past? I’m complaining, because I am really disappointed… This used to be our go to place for dim sum.

PLEASE be careful when you add tips. They calculate tips based on AFTER-TAX RATES!!! I really don’t mind paying a bit more, but just don’t like the dishonesty on the bill?

Other than this, the food is the best in Atlanta.
