Really nice dim sum restaurant. Elegant decor with beautiful wall art and chandeliers. Huge space with lots of seating. There were tons of dim sum options. We came at the end of the lunch hours on Sunday. We were able.to get shumai, shrimp dumplings, sugar cane shrimp, snow pea tips, and pork steak buns. Everything was tasty.

This is my 2nd time here and the service was still terrible. I will never come back!!! The servers here are rude and they don’t listen to your orders properly. Can’t even explain how pissed I am.

Ask for all charges in print prior to hosting a private event here. The private event’s coordinator probably will take advantage and charge you for extra things at the end without letting you know (the way he did with us). Also, they push family style meals rather than buffet style so they don’t have to make as much food. Many of our guests were hungry, some of the tables didn’t get rice, and they charged us ($50 for vegetable fried rice??) when we mentioned that certain tables didn’t get an entree.I went and spoke with the private event coordinator to clear it up and he just didn’t want to hear it and was annoyed.Disappointed to have picked this spot. I didn’t do my due diligence and read the reviews the way I should have. This seems to be the trend at this restaurant though. It’s not right to do business this way.

Ordered General Tso to go and got home within 15 minutes and the chicken had very soggy breading. It was also not spicy at all. They also don’t provide a menu online to look at so it was more expensive than my local place so I won’t be back here.

Good spot for dim sum.Their egg tarts are so good, I always prefer the flaky crust. There seemed to he less dim sum food by around 1pm. Not as many carts rolling around.Area is spacious and also a venue to consider for weddings.

One of the best in the area for authentic Chinese style food. For dinner it is a little pricey though per dish.

I thought the bad reviews were just angry customers, but it’s true. They added items we did not order to our bill and when confronted about the situation we were met with nasty unprofessional behavior from the staff. Save yourself the hassle and dine elsewhere.

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS WHEN CHECKING OUT!!! This has happened to me and many people I know. They overcharge over $100 with added bogus fees. They know people go in large groups and some people tend to fight over paying rights so they don’t tend to check the total. VERY UNETHICAL!! And not to mention they don’t believe in customer service. For a supposedly classy restaurant this is SUBPAR!

Check your receipt against your credit card statement. This restaurant has had history of overcharging/scamming customers.

0 stars if I could. On top of their well know reputation to be scamming people, I’ve had my own experience of the worst dim sum experience ever. Some of the workers there make this the rudest restaurant we have ever been to. We came one day a little past lunch time, but they still sat us down. During service, you can tell they did not want to serve us. They would put stuff down or table that we never ordered, the check came out with multiple things we did not order.Practically kicking us out after 10 mins of eating. Put check down and asked us to hurry up and pay while we just started to finally get our food. Actually yelling at us when we refused to tip because of such bad service. We said we would like to explain on why you are not getting this tip the server yelled out NO TIP?! HA ! OKAY WHATEVER. We asked to speak to the manager and he said “ NO MANAGER EVERYONE HERE MANAGER”When I talked to the lady in the front desk about my experience, she did not even look up once or acknowledged me.Just wrong how they treat their customers and the shadiness of this place must be told.

At noon on Sunday, my family and I went to the Golden Crown Restaurant to enjoy the delicious Hong Kong-style yum cha. In addition to ordering the dim sum on the cart, we also ordered a plate of sliced duck legs and a plate of kale with oyster sauce. Everyone had a great time.

HORRIBLE MANAGER AND EVIL HOSTESS.DO NOT GO TO ROYAL CHINA RESTAURANT.We had the unfortunate run-in with an evil young Chinese hostess this morning. She refused to give us a table for a party of 11 people. She says we have to all be present, what? It must be her new rule.I told her we were hungry and would like to sit down to start ordering food, but she said no. The incompetent Manager whispered something, and they both laughedWhen the Bills came, the evil and racist young hostess charged us 44 items even though we ordered 24. She also charged 11 people for the hot tea I ordered. She refused to give us the ticket to count how many items the wait staff marked down.To add insult, she said an automatic 20% tip to the ticket. Nearly $400 for 24 Dim Sum items and an automatic $76 tip, WTH Royal China?Shame on you, Royal China, for hiring a young racist and evil hostess who price gouges customers, double charges for food items, fraudulent billing, racial profiling, and disgusting customer service.DO NOT GO TO ROYAL CHINA RESTAURANT.

WARNING: REPUTATION FOR OVERCHARGING!We've been going to Royal China Dim Sum (3960 Venture Drive, Duluth, GA) since its opening, but we consistently encounter surprising overcharges on our bills. Since we always went with our large family, we've never questioned the prices, assuming honesty in charges. However, on March 2nd, we received our bill for $495.85. This already raised our suspicion since this was the least amount we had eaten, and it did not make sense for the high charge. The way their bill is for dim sum is impossible to read. You can never understand how they charge you.We brought the check to the front desk and told them to interpret each item they charged us. They said we ordered a special crab and lobster order, which we never ordered. They also charged us for extra dishes we never received. Despite consuming 32 dishes, we were billed for 45, along with additional fees for spices and tea. After correction, the bill was reduced to $357.10. They charged us $138.75 extra.Imagine how many people they have scammed and overcharged. This is unacceptable and a bad taste for a business.

My family and I went to Royal China for Dim Sum so many times. Today, we noticed a recurring issue of feeling overcharged. This time, we determined to address it, and we took our receipt to the manager. To our surprise, we found an overcharge of nearly $150. We recommend implementing transparent pricing on the food carts to enhance transparency, especially since everything they wrote on the ticket is in Chinese, making it challenging to understand costs. Everyone needs to be cautious and not know what you're paying for. I would never come back to Royal China anymore. They are dishonest people.
