Batesville General Restaurant is a cute and quaint local gem, a lovely little country shop good for purchase as well as food to go. The renovations have freshened up the look while retaining its original charm. The service is fantastic, remarkable, efficient, and very attentive and friendly, with a very nice team always ready to refill coffee. The food is delicious and really good, with everything made fresh. The menu offers wonderful choices, including a standout pimiento cheese fried green tomato BLT sandwich. Breakfast is delicious, featuring tasty pancakes, baked ham, perfectly cooked bacon, amazing hot out-of-the-oven biscuits, eggs, and sausage biscuits. Prices are very reasonable. It is a perfect spot to start the day, definitely worth a return visit.
