I recently visited Two Fish Myanmar and was quite disappointed with both the customer service and the food. Despite the appealing concept, the restaurant falls short in several areas.

During my first visit, I encountered an unwelcoming attitude from the lady at the front desk. Hoping for an improved experience, I returned yesterday but was met with even greater disappointment. I called ahead to order a papaya salad and two mon let saung drinks. When I got there, I was told only the drinks were ready. I asked about the papaya salad, and with an attitude, I was told I hadn’t ordered it. So I had to place a new order with her. Then, she went to grab another lady in the back and she said you didn’t order or say papaya salad and I had to repeat my order again with her. I’m not sure what their problem is but they need to learn to respect and treat all customers fairly . They said it would be ready in five minutes, but it took over ten.

When I finally got to my car, I found that both drinks were spoiled and tasted as if they had been sitting in the cooler for weeks. The papaya salad was not worth the price. Overall, as probably their sixth customer of the day, they act like they were upset I was there and the experience was incredibly disappointing.

I strongly suggest improving customer service and ensuring that staff members are adequately trained for their roles. This place has a lot of potential, but significant improvements are needed. I love supporting Asian owned businesses but this is not it.
A follow-up to my review:
After my recent review, I was quite surprised by the response I received. Instead of addressing my feedback properly, the owner's daughter asked for my phone number because both her and her mother got upset about my review. This is not how other businesses typically handle customer feedback.

I want to emphasize that honest feedback should not be seen as an attack. From reading the 5 star reviews, it seems that if an American had written the same review, I doubt they wouldn’t go after them or have been asked for their phone number. It’s also concerning that Two Fish Myanmar Cuisine has blocked their review options on their Facebook page, which seems like an attempt to hide negative reviews from honest customers whose only intention is for them to improve. This is not a proper method or procedure for handling customer feedback.

For a better dining and customer service experience, I recommend visiting P.S Asian Restaurant across the street who also has authentic Burmese foods. They have a bigger dining area, serve larger portions, and have staff who are more knowledgeable about customer service guidelines.

I am honestly shocked at how this restaurant maintained a 4.8 rating. But when I looked at most of the reviewers who rated high, something striking caught my attention. No offense to those who gave a 5-star but it seems the owners pick and choose which customers deserve great customer service. We were so happy to be supporting our Burmese community so we were full of excitement when we walked in. My husband greeted the owner’s daughter however he was met with silence and an attitude. I assured my husband that not everyone speaks Burmese. I asked her if she was Burmese and she replied that she was from Karenni. That conversation was rather short as she didn't want to have a conversation. Mind you, we were the only customer. My husband was excited about the food so he asked for a recommendation. However, she didnt even hand us the menu, actually she wasn't paying attention, so I told him to look for the menu, which he found on the counter behind us. It took her a few minutes before responding. The entire time she was silent and she seemed impatient. When we finally paid, she walked to the back quickly. Our food took at least an hour and while waiting, we had already purchased two drinks from the Ethiopian cafe next door. When the food finally arrived, she sat it on the table without uttering a word. She didn't even bother to explain why it took so long. The food portion was so small, it took 5 bites. The laphettoh was very salty and the mohinga was average. I wish I had never gone there and I will never recommend this restaurant to even my worst enemies. If you want to try authentic Burmese food, please go to the grocery store down the street. They have mohinga and other Burmese food for $5 and it taste better and the portion sizes are much bigger.

I enjoyed eating here. Food is delicious and true to the original Burmese tastes. Atlantans should take pride in having Two Fish Myanmar Cuisine because my hometown Houston does not have a Burmese restaurant. ??
