“What a great experience at Biruk Kana! The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is amazing! The owner is kind and engaging. We ordered the veggie combo. Leave plenty of time to sample this super varied and flavorful dish which was generously portioned, easily feeding two. Owner Biruk made sure we were OK and was happy to share information about her food and culture with us. There's even an Ethiopian coffee ceremony room. We've got to return and try the coffee! Highly recommended!”

“Met 5 friends here for lunch on Monday based on recommendation of one couple. We were all so pleased. The owner was gracious and informative, offering suggestions to those of us unfamiliar with the cuisine.
We shared dishes of Vegetable Combos, Awaze Tibs and another less spicy meat dish. We scraped our plates clean. We have converted some wary friends to this style of eating.

“I found this place after a long night of travel delays & cancellations, and it was everything I needed. I ordered a mocha latte and chocolate croissant and they were both so good. Enjoyed them at an outdoor table and it was perfection. The staff was very kind, and the chicken salad sandwich I bought for later was very tasty as well. Highly recommend.”

“Visiting Atlanta from Texas and was looking for a halal restaurant in our area. I’m glad we decided to come here. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the 4 people platter which came with lots of kabuli pulao and kababs. There were 7 adults and a toddler that ate from it and it was the right amount of food. The rice portion was big. We could have probably ordered a few more kababs. We also ordered a pot of saffron tea. Service was good and decor was very nice. They have floor seating as well for those wanting a more traditional experience. All the meat was halal. So glad we came!”

The lady who always helps me is genuinely so sweet, kind, and welcoming. She goes above and beyond every time and always makes sure we’re taken care of. “Great food today. Vegetables and meat loaf. I especially enjoyed the sweet potatoes, perfectly cooked and nicely sweet. The greens and meatloaf were outstanding as well. I am glad I chose Donnie's County Cooking for lunch. Did I mention the reasonable price!”

“Just went here for the first time while visiting Atlanta. The food was delicious and very fairly priced for the high quality - my family and I loved the veggie combo. Service was absolutely top-notch. So welcoming and generous. Having lived in Ethiopia, we know authentic food and this was it. The injera was excellent. Ignore the rough parking lot and the hole-in-the-wall appearance: I’d definitely recommend this place.”

“Really enjoyed the pizza here. The crust was perfectly baked, crispy outside and soft inside, and the toppings tasted fresh and flavorful. The cheese was melted just right and not greasy at all. You can tell they care about quality and preparation.
Nice atmosphere and friendly service too, which made the visit even better. Definitely a spot I’d come back to whenever I’m craving good pizza.”
