Definitely get the snow cream and peach tea.
Super friendly employees and very knowledgeable and gave good recommendations for other things to do around town

If you want to enjoy the true Distillery Experience, make SURE you reserve your spot earlier than the night before. I tried to sign up my party of 2 for the distillery tour at 10/11pm the night before and showed up the next morning, to be informed that I had attempted too late to sign up, even though website allowed me to do so. They had already started production when I showed up at opening, so I will make it a point to request the tour at least 2 days in advance next time. Not their fault at all, now I know what to do, though! We opted to do the $20 tasting and had a fun, informative time with the staff. At opening, we were only ones there during the week. We learned about all the products they make, including bourbon-infused ice cream and a variety of sauces. We tasted their Snow Cream, and it was outtta this world, a perfect blend for your holiday drinks! They have a decent amount of space and a great rustic atmosphere that you would hope for when kicking back bourbon n whiskey. Will return on my next trip! We bought the chocolate and cookies n cream booze ice cream, you should too! 🤪

If you are a bourbon lover or aficionado, this place and their speakeasy in Clayton, GA is a must!

The master distiller and recipe guru Doug is just about the most knowledgeable and nice guy you'll ever meet.

My wife and I stopped in while on our 21st anniversary trip and had the best time. Doug sampled the products, answered all of our questions, and showed us the distillery and the process.

They make a really great bourbon, and a really good gin too.

Well worth the stop!

Have not been yo the physical location. Received a bottle of Georgia Bourbon Snow Cream for my birthday. Y'all, this is so good!! Guess regular trips to Clayton are in my future.

So this is for their brand new “speakeasy” in downtown Clayton. Awesome bourbon bar! Great crafted drinks, great ambience! 2 bartenders, one was great! The other, well not a people person, but he maybe the owner. They had some unlabeled bottles, I inquired, he gave me dismissive explanation of these hand crafted cordials. Then grabbed a glass that others had drank from then poured samples and gave them to two ladies next to me. Completely ignoring me and I’m the one that initiated the conversation. So the drink was some sort of limoncello knock off made with oranges. Not a fan of limoncello to begin with I just found his behavior rude and again dismissive. They have just opened so I’ll give them a break, but if you go look for the young guy bartender! To the reply I received, no I DID NOT ASK FOR A SAMPLE!!! I asked what it was! The old guy perhaps owner is an ass

Great afternoon today from ATL. We will definitely make it a point to stop by again. Bartender was awesome.

This place is a hidden gem. Any time I’m in town, I try to stop by and pick up some. Their bourbon is top notch, and their pre-made cocktails are excellent (especially their Manhattan and Margarita). The staff is very helpful in selecting among the types of spirits as well. If you’re ever driving past, give them a try—seriously, you won’t regret it.

What an awesome find! Wife and I went to Clayton on a date day and went into Moonrise. We were impressed! Quality products and excellent service from Ashton. If you are nearby we would highly recommend.

Awesome spot! We really enjoyed stopping in and all of the products we tried, we enjoyed. The staff was super friendly, tastings were 20$ for 5 different beverages to sample. Favorites were the ready to drink margarita and Bloody Mary. Favorite liquor was the vodka and 5 year bourbon. Definitely would recommend everybody give them a shot if you are in the area!

Being a bit of a "newb" in the whiskey tasting and collecting, we were on a trip to Anderson, SC and decided to hit a few "no name" distilleries on the road trip down.
This place was exactly what I had hoped we would find! A smaller venue, not commercialized, and VERY welcoming!
We walked in the door and were instantly greeted. Never had that weird feeling of being an out of towner walking into a local establishment.
I really enjoyed seeing their tribute and acknowledgement of the military and first responders!! So much, that I left two of my patches to add to their collection.
I do not remember the young mans name that helped us, but, he did an AMAZING JOB talking with me and my GF and walking us through the tasting and purchasing. Explaining how they work and all the ins and outs of their establishment with a little whiskey history.
We tasted a few of their offerings, made a purchase of a couple different items and headed out! The tastings sold me on purchasing more than I would have because of how smooth and flavorful they were.
This place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Anytime we are in this area, we WILL be stopping back by!

Great experience and nice atmosphere. Tony was a great host. I'm from KY and must say ours bourbons are much better. Especially considering price. Sorry guys, I'm still a ky bourbon fan.

The idea of honey vs. sugar sets these products apart from the rest. Great bourbon!

I'm a big bourbon guy, but never before have I tasted this level of experience in a drink. We had no idea what to expect with this unassuming distillery that we drove past and decided to sporadically drive back around to visit. The care and love of the craft is obvious with their flagship bourbons, and even more so by their picks for the limited bottles. The Gratitude is the first bourbon I've ever daydreamed about and can't wait to get home for. Cheers to this outstanding place!

We made a stop in there while visiting from Florida...Very nice shop and bar. We left with 8 bottles 3 months ago, and just ordered 6 more yesterday.Everything has been exceptional. I highly recommend trying any and all of their products!! -J
