We love to find "hole in the wall" restaurants while traveling. Not your typical fast food stops. This place has great food. Just a couple of miles off the interstate. Delicious, made from scratch home cooking. I had the daily special of Shepard's pie, broccoli casserole, and pasta salad. My husband had a cheeseburger topped with pimento cheese. We had a huge slice of the best lemon cake I have ever ate. Very sweet owner and staff. Highly recommended ?
Friendly people, good food and decent prices too. Definitely worth the effort to find it (wasn't that difficult). They were having a little difficulty with the a/c but it wasn't that bad. I do hope to go back and try something else off the menu.

Very friendly homemade food. Jay was a great host! Our picky eating toddler also had a great amount of the vegetable soup. It’s a shame that they are closed for the coming month due to renovation. Good hearty homemade meal that’s worth the detour!We also liked the rooster theme.
