The food is GREAT (for a take-out). I love the seafood boil options: it's pretty tasty for the money! I admit that I might like the flavor of some other restaurants crab boils a tiny bit better, I'm not missing anything an extra dash Old Bay won't fix when I'm spending $20 less than the pocket robber Juicy Crab down the way. Catfish and wings are good. Plus they have fried green tomatoes and plenty more options - including vegetables that you can't get at Juicy Crab. Whenever they serve lunch specials, the cook throws down. I haven't seen those in a while but I'll welcome them. I have dined in before and the owner, an elderly Asian lady was so very nice and hospitable, based on her service, who could dare complain? That said, while there are plenty of open tables, the dusty old decor significantly detracts from this diner's ability to host a romantic dinner or birthday. Just save time and let them do all the cooking, carry out, then eat at home or at Wheeler Park or find an outdoor table in nearby Olde Towne Conyers.

My wife and I have eating at Grub Shack for years. The older Asian gentleman and the rest of the staff as well as the food have always been top notch. Today we went in and after checking the order our order. my wife ordered a veggie Philly sub, she informed the young lady that all of the veggies were removed (this is odd seeing as it’s a veggie Philly sub). The young lady (a heavy set Asian women) told my wife I had them removed when I ordered my cheese burger 😳 I explained to her I did no such thing and she proceeded to show me the order on her computer. I explained to her that myself nor my wife ordered the veggies removed, it doesn’t make sense. She would not take the sub back and put the veggies on it. Instead she became confrontational because we were upset, we didn’t see the problem with her fixing the sub that we already paid for but she would not. I then asked for a refund and the shouting match ensued. After leaving we were informed by several other individuals that this type of customer service from that particular young lady occurs often. This saddens me because we’ve never had these types issues with the other staff members. They have always went above and beyond. To the owners/ managers- this young ladies attitude and customer service are costing you business. Because of this interaction with her my wife and I don’t want to come back.

This was my first time eating here and the food was horrible- i purchased 10 pieces and fries. this meal was salty and left a bad after taste. I also purchased the 2 pieces whiting dinner - the tasted pre frozen and looked like the fish you purchased out of the grocery store that comes pre packed in one single pack. Fries nasty and hush puppies nasty after taste. will not ever eat at this place again. The cashier was pleasant.

I got the snow crab, corn, and potatoes — thought I’d just taste one leg before taking a picture, but I couldn’t put the plate down! The sauce was so good I was sopping the corn in it. Flavorful but not too spicy — just the perfect combo. We’ll definitely be back!
I got the Grub Shack Snack and WOW!!! Was it great!!! A pound of food! Crab legs, shrimp, corn, and potatoes all cooked and seasoned to perfection and the employees were the best! Can't recommend enough!!

When i first walked in he gave me attitude and then followed up with god awful food. I ordered crispy wings (i asked twice) and got the soggiest piece of trash I’ve ever seen. Literally couldn’t even eat it, through the whole plate in the trash. A waste.
