We stayed at the Sapelo Birdhouse Luxury Cottage and it was an amazing experience! The cottage was beautiful and Anita was a wonderful host and gave us all the info we needed to make our stay an unforgettable one.The island is special and unlike any other barrier island in Georgia. Pristine, undeveloped miles of beach that you will have all to yourselves, amazing wildlife, towering live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, a special history, and friendly helpful people all make Sapelo a destination unlike any other.If your idea of vacation is shopping, playing golf and crowded beaches, then Sapelo is not for you! However, if you love adventure, amazing photo opportunities, unspoiled beaches and solitude to relax and unwind, you MUST go to Sapelo!

Beautiful, peaceful view. Well-equipped with everything you need. A place to relax, read, watch the wildlife, and learn about the culture and history of the Geechee/Gullah residents. Bring your own provisions or ask Francine, the Concierge to arrange a cooked local meal. She was very helpful.
