Lula and her daughter created a feast for 26 people. They told us about the restaurant and the how the recipes have been handed down over many generations.
We had an awesome experience with our tour group of 26 people. Home cooking and wonderful discussion by Lula of the local history and her seven generations in the Gullah community on the Island.
I was with a group of 24 who had lunch here. The food was excellent, and Lulu made for an unforgettable hostess. Maybe the best gumbo (shrimp) and fried chicken I've had. Well worth the ferry ride to Sapelo
