Used to be good, it's been trash the last few times I tried it. The fish was overcooked, fries cold & they seem to never have gumbo available. Downtown dawson deserves better. I can't ask questions about the food anymore because I can't understand what the new owners are saying. I just can't suggest this place anymore.

GREAT food! My wife and I were very impressed. The quality of the food was great and it came in large portions. When we went to pick our food up, the restaurant was very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly. Such a good experience. Try the catfish or shrimp po-boy!

Didn't feel too good after eating take out from here.There isn't anything Cajun about the food - it's basically just a fried fish place.Won't eat here again. It's a shame all 3 restaurants in this little complex are not very good.

We stopped here passing through Dawsonville on our way home from the fall activities at an apple farm. This was our 2nd stop that evening for dinner (1st places' online menu drew us in, but reality provided far fewer choices). We took a chance on Kajun, and it did not disappoint from the food, prep, service, and taste standpoint. The gentleman that took our order, I assume, was the owner. He was very kind and friendly. When you enter the establishment, do not expect to be blown away by the ambiance or comfort of the seating and tables as it was very generic and basic but again, the rest of the experience was on point! The food was great with ample seasoning and flavor! We will definitely stop in again if we find ourselves in Dawsonville!

This place is truly a gem. It hits my seafood craving everytime. I travel from Braselton when I'm in the area shopping at North Georgia Premium Outlets on 400. I hope they continue to keep their seafood fresh and standards high!!
The fried shrimps are the best!!!! Normally I’m not a fan of shrimps but after I tried their fried shrimps I have to say that I love it! Me and my friends ate it all including all of the others food.
Excellent food and beyond excellent service. We tried a variety of the dishes and everything was delicious and flavorful.Portions are well done, even in the boils. The boil we had wasn't drowning in sauce and was absolutely delicious.The front staff was one guy but he took orders, verified and delivered the food, bussed tables, cleaned, etc and handled everything very well. He was one of the most polite people we've had as servers.It is a smaller dining room but it was very worth the visit.

They know how to do catfish! My husband and I had the two-piece fried catfish entree and our son had the six-piece fried shrimp entree. All meals came with fries, 2 hush puppies, and coleslaw. The food came out hot and quick. There was a steady flow of customers and everyone got their food quickly. The fish was fried to perfection and tasted great. The fries were crispy and hot. Hush puppies were moist and fried just right. I liked the cole slaw but I generally like it with more vinegar. Very friendly service!

We ordered the family size big seafood #7 and we highly disappointed in the food. Over 3/4 of our food was nothing but mussels. Never eating or going back again. Also the way they treat you when you have a complaint is terrible. They will not refind or make things right.
