Marble Slab Creamery

We walked in to the Marble Slab in Dawsonville at 8:50pm on Friday evening. The teenage staff were looking at us kind of strangely, but we just kept looking at the flavors of ice cream. Nobody asked to take our order. Finally the young man at the register asked if we were going to be paying with cash. He said because if we were they have already counted the drawer and would not be able to take our payment. I told the young man I could pay with cash or card whichever is easiest for him. After that, one of the young ladies begrudgingly stepped up to the counter and asked what we wanted, but not until she told us that we couldn't order anything that gets mixed in because they have already cleaned the store and they were not going to dirty it again even though it was not yet closing time. Typical teenagers running business is why businesses will go under. Grown ups if you want to keep putting money in your pocket don't let kids determine your hours and how your business is run because it won't be around very long!

Tried ordering a simple cookie milkshake to go. Apparently they can’t make what’s on their menu. The wrong ice cream flavor was used, and no cookies were added. What a joke.?

Homemade ice creams with multiple toppings they can mix in them. They had a good choice of flavors, I tried peanut butter and cheesecake, both had great flavor. I went with cheesecake and heath bar chunks, my girlfriend got the butter pecan caramel chocolate chip. It was actually really good. We just came back from Savannah where we had Ben & Jerry’s as well as Leopold’s ice cream. We both agreed that this little shop was better, fresh waffle cones that are actually crispy unlike Ben & Jerry’s and ice cream with a nice flavor, not barely flavored like Leopold’s. Who ever said they don’t have a lot of flavors must have gone when they had one freezer down. Give it a try, you’ll be glad you did. I live in Dawsonville and only just tried it, wish I would have tried it earlier.

Had great service today. Friendly employee greeting and serving the ice cream. One of the nicest customer service experiences I've had in a while. She should be given a raise as its hard to come by today.

I love ice cream and Marble slab is one of my favorite places to get it! Saturday was the first time I’ve been to this location and it was great! Their ice cream is super creamy and delicious and they have a ton of mix-ins! Great place, great ice cream, and great people!

Says they open at 11 and the times were updated in the past two weeks. Showed up at 11:20 to grab cookies for the girls at work and they were still closed

Poor service, okay quality. Charged our card twice and we are waiting for confirmation there will be a refund. Quality was okay, but not amazing to live up to the high prices! Way over-priced and small portions.

Great offerings and great prices on the ice cream. The cookies, not that great and too expensive IMHO.We went for the ice cream and were very happy.

Would be zero stars if possible. Me and my mom decided to visit this location after having dinner since I am 23 weeks pregnant and have been craving this ice cream for a week now, we walked inside and stood there for about 3 minutes talking about what flavor we would get all while the young worker stood and listened to our whole conversation and chose not to come and help us. At 7:58pm we asked her if we could get some help where she finally decided to inform us that since they close at 8pm that they will not be serving us ice cream, I basically begged for just a scoop of ice cream that was still sitting out and even opted for no mix ins and she refused. Although the sign still said open and considering it was not even 8pm yet, i believe this girl just simply did not want to serve us and was making up every excuse not to dirty another spoon. And the way she handled it was so rude and not at all apologetic. Not sure I’ll be returning after this.Edit: not sure how to reply to their reply but I have no heard back from them at all.

So i called to ask if they had a flavor, right, this lady answers quickly which was nice but then when she answers she was super fast to speak i barely even knew what she said, then i said, “hey, i was just wondering if yall had Lil’ Blue Panda Ive Cream?” She goes i dont even know what that is. Didnt say anything else. Didnt even attempt to look nothin like it was just weird idk like you couldve asked someone else or somethin. So i just was like, after a good 5 seconds of silence, okay thank you. bye. Anywho yeah i just felt like it was a bit rude.

Man This place is phenomenal My first time trying it today Delicious strawberry shortcake sundaes Amazing choices also The staff here are very friendly and outstanding I would recommend this place to anyone

EDIT:Update-The owner actually reached out to me personally and sincerely apologized that she had an employee that had closed early. She has gone ahead and rectified the issue. If you’re gonna get ice cream in the area, this is definitely the place to go. That’s why my wife loves it so much!So…. I call at 7:50 to see if they’re open before I come in 10 minutes till closing (which I hate doing). They answer and say they’re open so I drive across the street and get here by 7:55. The girl locks the door as I walk up five minutes before closing and won’t service me…. Literally right after I called. Really awful service. If you say you’re open till 8, stay open till 8.. (btw this was a special day for my wife and I was getting her her favorite ice cream which she hasn’t had due to having a baby recently.) thanks marble slabs
