Attended the Memorial of Jesus Christ Death on Match 24, 2024. The facility was very nice and clean with plenty of room and seatingSafety: Safe with police presence, you always see people jogging, families walking, and entering the shopsWalkability: The little city of Decatur is full of places to eat within walking distance, and you can choose to dine in or outside many of the dining areas

Stayed here for a wedding. Great service. Hotel could use some renovations given how popular the wedding venue down the street is.

I have been a regular guest at this hotel since October, often staying for a week or more at a time, and my experience has consistently been positive. The staff are attentive and quick to address any maintenance issues that arise. Their warm greetings upon my return each day and their willingness to accommodate my needs make my stays enjoyable. While the rooms and public areas are consistently clean, there are occasional noise disturbances at night, especially in rooms facing the indoor courtyard or lobby area.Despite this minor inconvenience, I plan to continue staying here during my future work trips to Decatur, and I'll certainly recommend it to my colleagues.Rooms: CleanWalkability: Walking distance to many nice restaurantsFood & drinks: Near good restaurants. Also offers Starbucks coffee and you can purchase breakfast at the coffee counter or enjoy a dinner at their restaurant.

Jan 27. I checked into the presidential suite with my 2 children and had an enjoyable stay. Check in and check out went smoothly and the everything went well. My daughter however left her phone in the room. When I got home and could not find the phone I checked find my on apple and it registered at the hotel in the room that we stayed in. I immediately called the hotel to inform them that my daughter’s phone was there and they informed me that they would give me a call back once they checked the room. They did give me a call however once I went to answer the call hung up and I was left a voicemail stating that someone would get back with me etc. I called the next morning at 9:52 am and did not receive an answer. I never received another call. I checked my daughter’s phone location again and it moved from the Marriott to some apartments in Brookhaven, Georgia. After that, I immediately called the hotel and I received no answer again. So I called back again and this time I spoke with someone from reservations. He got my Marriott member number and other information. He said he was going to connect me with a supervisor and I was on hold for a while and the call disconnected. I called back yet again and this time I was connected to the front desk where a Nicole Jones answered the phone. She was very rude and displayed very poor customer service as I tried explaining to her what was going on. When I asked her for her full name, she said “I’m the only Nicole that works at the front desk “ in a very rude tone. I proceeded to ask for her name again and she finally gave it to me in a unpleasant tone. I will be calling back again in the morning to speak with a higher up about this matter. My daughter’s phone was stolen by one of their employees and I received horrible service because of something they did. I’ve stayed at plenty Marriott hotels and this one by far is the worse place I have ever experienced. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to stay there if you want to be treated fairly.Noteworthy details: My daughter’s iPhone was stolen by an employee and I received horrible customer service from the front desk Nicole Jones.

Hotel was nice, but the only chair other than the computer chair was nasty with stains. I was definitely not sitting on that. Also, there was nothing in the room to place your luggage on except the floor. Unacceptable! The bed was mediocre and the pillows were horrible. I got a crook in my neck the first night and I could not rest after that. The best part of the room was the floor was wood with no carpet. Otherwise the room was very average and not reflective of a nice Courtyard Marriott. Although, the location was great and accommodating for the event we attended i would think twice before staying here again.

Large clean room. Kind front desk staff. Atrium was very nice; looks like a new property. Great location. Affordable parking. Hot showers, coffee and tea in the room. The double desk in the room provided ample room for working. Wood like floors were nice for cleanliness.I got in at 1am, parked in the parking garage and went up to the lobby where I was trapped in the hallway between the conference center and the lobby with both doors locked. Signage was very poor. I located the phone that was supposed to connect me to the front desk no one answered it. I eventually had to call the front desk on my telephone. They would benefit from cameras and a remote entry unlock feature for front desk staff.Despite having the room for two nights, housekeeping tried to enter my room twice before 8:15 in the morning waking me up, so make sure to use do not disturb sign. This was not housekeeping’s fault. It was managements. I saw the exact same review last month with someone being woken up. I asked the housekeeper how many rooms she had to clean in a day because she was working at a breakneck speed as hard as she could in the room next door. She has to clean 11 rooms on that floor and I saw her later on another floor. Cleaning staff was working hard as the property was very clean. My room faced the atrium which had lights on all night. Blackout curtains bled so it’s best to select a room that faces the outside. The walls are VERY THIN, doors are VERY LOUD so expect noise. This is honestly just a very bad design flaw.I asked to move to an exterior room (with windows facing the road and not the atrium). The front desk staff was helpful and got me moved. The second night I slept well. It was quieter and darker.
