Don't miss Douglas' top Mexican restaurants, as recommended by Restaurantji.
“Food was Outstanding! Other taquerias have chips and salsa. Their refried bean dip is delicious (can eat with a soon, good) and a very nice surprise change. We each ordered a taco salad. They were generous portions and very tasty. My husband now has another menu choice. Service was good. Restaurant had a fresh new look to it and was well kept. We will definitely return. If I had to say anything negative, it would be the layout. The staff can only see half of the dining area from the staff areas. This did not affect our meal, though.Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is family friendly and there are menu items for the children.Parking: Parking on the street is free but limited. There is a parking lot about a block away.“
“I'm not lying, this really was a 5 star experience. After living in Southern California for over 17 years, I had more than my fair share of authentic street tacos. I was pleasantly surprised to find them here at Taqueria Pancho Villa II to the point that I visited twice while visiting. The swing from 4 to 5 stars was on the second visit. The service was even better (not that there was anything wrong the first time) but man, those fish tacos were seriously on point! Cooked perfectly, simple presentation and sheer delight! I cannot say enough good about the taste, temperature and flavor! I definitely look forward to my next visit when I am in town again!“
“I have tried so like most local restaurants in Sanford. I invariably end up in other places. This place is actually decent Mexican food. The salsa is tasty. The chips I think are homemade. And I had Chile rellenos my girlfriend had a chicken chimichanga. All the food was good. Mine came with the tortillas which I think we're homemade, was kind of nice. And rice and beans. Food was really good. The chili rellenos were basic, which is much better than they are in most places where they're just slathered and cheese and sauce. The margaritas on Wednesday or two for one which you can't beat had a couple of margaritas. I hope this place survives it's pretty good Mexican food it's kind of nice to have something local. That's actually good to eat and not insanely expensive like most everything else downtown. The people that work here actually nice too very friendly atmosphere friendly workers. I would highly recommend having some Mexican food especially on Wednesday when you get to margaritas for the price of one.“
“Wow, my time here was great! The folks are friendly, and it runs off on people there. When I walked in, I live 4 hours away, I felt like I was a part of their community. That’s service… now food, if you’re not sure how to enjoy Mexican food, then I’m sure you can ask for pointers here and they would give recommendations, but it’s there, and it’s good. I tried a little of a lot. I wasn’t disappointed. The dessert was also very yummy. Even though my time here was short, I’m going to miss the folks here. If I’m back in this town later on, I’m definitely going to stop here.“
“It's Taco Bell I love Taco Bell. However I accidentally ordered the wrong thing so one of my burritos wasn't the best but the other ones were good. I asked for mountain dew however I was given Baja blast. I drank it anyways even though I actually went to mountain dew I highly recommend Taco Bell.“
“Here’s what I loved about this place: the food was very tasty. It was super clean. Everything came out really fast. The lady taking our order was super friendly, we asked for extra radishes and she did indeed deliver. Here is what I didn’t like. The music is really loud and it’s hard to hear the very soft spoken waitress. The salsa is kinda watery, however, the flavor? Delicious. And me personally, would want a little more spice. All in all, I’m thrilled with my experience, and without a doubt will return.“
