“This was my first time knowing about this restaurant in Douglas. Apparently it was opened last year in the downtown shopping district on the Main Street. It may be a little tricky to get to for parking but it is worth it, or at least when we went it was. We had to park in the side of another building and walk down to it. It was rather busy for Wednesday evening. We only had to wait about 5 minutes though just because we preferred a booth instead of sitting next to a huge crowd for a birthday party. I ordered the jumbo shrimp platter and it was almost more than I could eat for $18.99 and it came with two sides. Usually you only get a few shrimp at most restaurants or have to pay extra just to get a few extra but my whole plate was covered (your choice of how you want them cooked) and for the price you can’t beat it. They also had steak and other seafood, a few sandwiches and also a salad bar with pretty big bowls. My son had the hamburger and FF which was huge and my friend had the grilled salmon and sides. I left completely full and they almost had to roll me out it was all so good I didn’t want to stop eating lol. I will be returning and recommending it to everybody I know that likes seafood and steak dinners…with the best hands down loaded mashed potatoes…better than Chili’s and more of bargain for everything you get. I even saw one couple eating a bucket of crab legs even though they weren’t on the menu. Not sure of the prices of those or the steaks since they are market fresh prices when you order but mostly you could get a meal ranging from $15 or so to $30. Something’s were more expensive but they were huge items that would be worth it. Just an awesome new place to find hidden in the city.Parking: You can park on the Main Street to get to the restaurant or you can park on the end of the street where there is a parking lot or you can also park in the back of the restaurant as it has two separate entrances. The back entrance is mostly for take out and deliveries but that is the door we used as an exit to get to our parked cars easier. Probably just depends on the day and time if you can easily find parking or not. Wasn’t that far of a walk for us though.Kid-friendliness: Has high chairs and a family friendly environment also I do think they have a kids menu but don’t quite me in that 100%.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to maneuver a wheelchair and easily accessible.“
“I was skeptical because of the price, but once I arrived to pick up my order, I was reassured by the amount of business they had. I received my plate and was overly shocked at the amount of food, the presentation, and most of all the taste. I was not let down, and the price actually turned out to be a bargain for the experience. I’ll definitely be back while I’m in the area.“
“We stopped by Captain D's to grab some dinner before heading 15 miles away to home. We ordered the 10 piece family meal with fries and green beans. When we arrived at home, we couldn't wait to get inside to fix our plates. Let me tell you...it was amazing! Even after traveling 15 miles away, the fries, fish fillets, and hush puppies were hot and crispy. Hats off to the crew working on October 15th around 6pm in Douglas, GA. Good job!! 😊“
“Very good hamburger, especially with the egg on it. Super hospitality. He even opened up on a day the restaurant is normally closed because we were only visiting and wouldn't be able to eat there if he didn't. Eat there, you won't be disappointed.“
“I’ve been 3 times now and it is consistent. The fires oyster basket with Kasian fries is my favorite. Our server, Maddison, is the best. She multitasked and still made sure we were ok on drinks and our food! I’ve ate here while on duty at the Fire Department and the staff treat us with as much respect as we could give back. If seafood and good service is what you’re looking for then this is the place!“
