The young man that received payment for my meal was preoccupied with his phone. I happened to have a question at the end of the transaction. He was visibly annoyed that I interrupted his continued phone activity.People that don't want to be on the front line simply shouldn't be. But I guest it could be worst, they could prepare your food.I must add, my waitress was very pleasant. She has been there a long time.

We used to eat here all the time but the restaurant has new owners now and it's just not as good. Specifically I have not gotten what I ordered, twice. The first time I figured I just ordered the wrong thing or the waitress didn't understand me so the second visit I ordered carefully and made sure to remember the meal description and it was something I had had before. I ordered #112. Yu Shiong Chicken: Sautéed chicken, bamboo shoots, Chinese mushroom, water chestnuts, green onion. Hot & spicy. According to the menu description. What I got was sautéed chicken, bamboo shoots, two pieces of green onion and CARROTS. No mushrooms or water chestnuts and very little green onions. It was hot and spicy. I don't know why this is happening. I don't like to complain about the food or send it back because I I've heard stories from food service workers about what they do to the food. The food wasn't bad but it's not what I ordered.

I went in for lunch and got take out. None of what I ordered was fresh. The rice was mushy(couldn't eat it). The almond fried chicken was rewarmed. I ordered crab squares, and the sauce was literally jelly. This is ridiculous. No one should feed people this way. I am so disappointed.

The best I can do is 2-star review for the service. The food was very good and the inside clean and nice environment, but the service was terrible. After seating me and a friend, we checked out the menu and told the waiter we would need a few minutes. We then wanted to order, but the waiter nowhere in sight. I got up from the table and the waiter was at the front desk on his phone and apparently forgot all about us. After the meal, I asked for the check but it never came, so I saw the waiter and he told me to go up to the machine at the front desk and pay, while he was walking to the kitchen. Fine - but I asked physically for the check because I always review to ensure it was correct. The payment machine only showed the final amount. I gave up, paid the bill and will never be back. Deplorable service.

The egg drop soup, sesame tofu, egg rolls, and potstickers were incredible. This is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to. Nobody makes the sesame tofu like they do. The service is always amazing and everyone is super nice.

Terrible experience. Don’t recommend. My husband ordered crab rangoon/Angel crab and there was no filling (none in all of them). View pic.Won’t be ordering from this place again.

Unfortunately it was bad choice to pick this place for lunch. Not clean place from what I saw and smelled. I’ll not go again.

Let me say this, this was my first time trying this restaurant after hearing good things. I called in my order after looking online at the menu. I ordered 2 shrimp spring rolls, and a egg drop soup. Vy, the employee was not knowledgeable of the soup coming with noodles. The total was less than $10, so he kept reiterating you can't use a card for less than $10, and I can hear a man in the background saying tell them no credit card as if I didn't comprehend the first time. I went in to pick up my order, no one greeted me my order total was $8.57, I brought in $8.54, do you know this young man said you owe 3 cents. Leave the food and go get the 3 cents. REALLY!!!!!!! 3 cents, all the money you people have made in our country, what is 3 cents to millions we have given to you people. The same man who was in the background when I called kept coming up to the cashier. 3 cents says a lot about who Cindy is. The guest who sit in are treated different than those who order take out. This was my first and last time visiting this establishment.

We've dined here since we moved to Atlanta in 1992. Incredible food, lots of choices, and can even customize your order. Say hi to Cindy the owner! Highly recommend Emerald China to all.
