Awesome matcha options
My favorite place to get matcha! Plus, the ube ice cream is delicious!
The place is super cute and the matcha was just fine. But, if you are a BLACK PERSON please be ware that one of the Asian employees behind the counter, you may not greet you the same way or at all, as they do when they see an Asian or white customer come in the establishment. It is 2025. Anti-blackness should not be tolerated.
I really enjoyed my visit to Matcha Cafe Maiko in Duluth. The drink I got was delicious — the matcha was rich and smooth, and the soft-serve on top was creamy and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality. The shop itself is clean and welcoming, and the menu has so many unique choices that it’s hard to pick just one. Definitely a great spot for matcha lovers. I’ll be coming back!
Lovely atmosphere, super tasty options!
Great soft serve! 🍦😋
This place was very beautiful and had a nice decor. The atmosphere and vibe inside at also very nice. The food was great. The strawberry matcha and vanilla matcha ice cream were amazing. I highly recommend this place. You can visit with friends or family or just have a cute date. It was a great experience visiting this spot.
Their brown sugar matcha crystal boba latte is so good! My only complaint is that it's kind of overpriced but overall very delicious.
Edit: It seems they got a lot of similar feedback and we tried it again recently and were surprised to see an all new staff, but also personable individuals. Thanks for listening to the feedback!

The food is delicious but the staff is so rude. No eye contact, some of the staff visibly laughed at the patrons while at the counter. You feel like they don't want you to come there, and to be honest, next time I won't. This is the best matcha around, but you can go to another branch.
I’m a sahm who moved from Miami to Duluth so I’m more than familiar with authentic Japanese food and especially matcha and this one is a hit 😍
My 3yr old’s the pickiest eater but he loves going out and meeting people and he actually ate the entire ube ice cream top of my matcha slushy and FIVE fried soy sauce glazed onigiri ! My sister always comes all the way from Athens for this ice cream!
It’s a cozy little cafe and we just managed a pocket of quiet time before it got packed. We also got matcha and horchata pint ice cream to take home. I did have to remind them about my order (takoyaki & onigiri), but they handled it with a great attitude.
Thanks for answering my question about how to prepare for GA cold from a beach girlie✌️

Delicious blueberry lattes!
Me and my friend frequently visit this location. The soft serve here is very good and the matcha quality is the best.
It's always crowded on Sundays, but people generally keep it moving because of that. It still manages to be cosy because you won't be thinking about anybody around you once you dig in to your treats. Do take home a pint of ice cream.
The cones for soft serve are fantastic. Perfectly thin and vanilla flavoured. Definitely opt for those over a cup.
Loved the Japanese desserts, tea and other offerings. Basic cafe seating mostly; also a traditional sit down seating..
Staff was also knowledgeable
The banana pudding matcha was the best I’ve ever had.. oh my GODD GET IT!!! Super creamy and flavorful
