this was the 2nd time I ordered take out and the 2nd they left out items in the order. they are now off my list.
I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to try the Cajun Depot Grill. The food was so fresh, so hot, and so delicious. Service was excellent. Prices were comparable to The Roof, Butcher and Bottle, and other non-chain restaurants in Ellijay. We will be returning often.
Excellent! So savory! I highly recommend if you want authentic Cajun cuisine! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Beautiful gem tucked away in Ellijay. The old RR depot across the river as you come into town from the west.
The food was amazing in so many ways, chief among those is its Cajun authenticity. Everything we had was absolutely delectable. If you like hush puppies, no matter what you get from the menu, order a side of them. They’re like biting into a cloud - a Cajun spiced cloud nonetheless!
This will be our go to spot whenever we come down for the apple harvest and such from the surrounding orchards.

The mild wings were more like hot.The Blacken chicken blue cheese sandwich had to much blue cheese on it took over the chicken. My lettuce for my sandwich was brown. When I told the waitress she had a smart remark and said we are a Cajun Resturant and walked away. I just got back from New Orlenes and my mild wings was mild, not hot. Although she had a bad attitude we did leave her a nice tip..

I’m from Nee Orleans so I’m usually disappointed but not here. This place is legit! Can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu. Everything we had was amazing!

Decided to give them a second shot since the first time was a fail. Got seated and then a party of 16 got seated and then a couple came after them and we were still sitting there while the party of 16 was getting there drink order and the couple that came after us had already gotten their drink order. We were never acknowledged by our server ,this place Sucks!! Do not recommend!!!!

Came with a group of 3 teenagers to get some food before we head home from camping. They informed us that one of our teenagers couldn’t order a hotdog off the kids menu because it was 12 and under, after looking over the entire menu he decided nothing else sounded good and he was not going to eat, once I asked our waitress if she could make any exception to get him a hotdog she went to ask “someone” then came back and said they are strict on their 12 and under rule. It is a hotdog. Now I have a kid that won’t eat because they won’t serve a hotdog. Waitress was also extremely pushy throughout the entire experience. They have definitely lost multiple customers over a lack of kindness and human compassion.

This place doesn't compare to real cajun food. We ordered a shrimp po boy, gumbo, crab cakes, and beignets. The po boy was okay, it's unoffensive and the remmoulade tastes like zax sauce from Zaxby's if that's your thing. The crab cakes were extremely overpriced for two small cakes, but the flavor was good. The gumbo was the most disappointing thing which is a cajun staple. It was very watery and tasted like Progresso soup. It was barely a stew. On top of all of that there was a hair on the lettuce of my po boy and on the crab cake sauce.
Best thing was the beignets.
*Update from owner's response* I am not trolling, there were indeed two hairs. It took awhile to get the food out, and I didn't want to send back two dishes and wait another 30 minutes when we haven't eaten all day, so in my mind a hair was the least of my worries, but still gross. I just ate around it and removed the hair on the lettuce. Maybe make sure your cooks and servers inspect the food before bringing them out. Maybe better hairnet/beard nets as well? I shouldn't have to let management know for obvious hair on the food. Rude management. Don't bother coming here.
Won't be back.

My party was very concerned about the treatment of the chicken there in the establishment...We noticed that you offer blackened breast of chicken and blackened and Bleu chicken. Other than that concern everything else was great and we will definitely be back 😂🤣🤣 🐓🐤

We stopped here for dinner after a few glasses of wine at a nearby vineyard. The parking was easy and plentiful. The restaurant ambiance was appropriate with darling signs indicating their Louisiana roots. The bar was limited ,however, likely they could have made whatever we wanted and had all the basic items.
Appetizer selection was good. Unfortunately, the gumbo was unexpected with tomatoes and corn; not consistent with the typical gumbo recipe. Otherwise, the servings were heaping with enough to carry some home! Service was excellent, very attentive and accomidating; what I consider great hospitality! We spent 80$ for our meal without alcoholic drinks. All in all, I would definitely go back

Your mom, really? Top notch restaurant and people. Can't even take responsibility for their failures. How about you use reviews to improve where you are failing? Or get someone more mature to be the voice of your restaurant!!
