12/12/2025 Lunch My wife and I stopped there on the way home from a trip. My wife ordered a burger which she wanted cooked medium. She was advised by the waitress that they only cooked the burgers well done because they are prepackaged meat. If you wanted to have it cooked her way she would have to pay extra for local beef and they would cook it to medium. When our food came, my wife’s burger was ultra dry and burnt. She could not eat it because it was so dry the waitress apologize. I said she’d make her another one by the time she finally received her new burger. She wasn’t even hungry anymore from waiting so long and we had to get back home because our pets were waiting. What’s the sense of having to pay more for something that you’re not gonna get. Or obviously the cook did not pay attention or give a crap. My poor wife packed up all her food which she did not eat, and while walking to the car, the hamburger meat slipped out of the container onto the ground. What a waste of , time and hard earned money.

Great vibe in this little tavern. Chicken wings were very good. Wife's Reuben was great as well. It wasnt too awful busy being just after noon on a Sunday but our server seemed to be extra busy flitting around. Gabbing with other employees, etc. Other servers were super attentive, especially to those who were clearly regulars. Food was worth the lack of service. Will definitely go back.

Small place with some good food. Had the fried green tomatoes and they were great!!! All of us had burgers. They were cooked as ordered and they were tasty!!! My only recommendations would be that they should install some air scrubber as we all left smelling like a deep fryer. That was a bit overwhelming from the time we walked in. Good place, good food.

Came here last year with a party of 4, waited over an hour just to be told they forgot us. Visited today with a party of 2 to give it another opportunity, well checked in 2:55 for a 20 minute wait. At 3:25 was told may close at 4pm but if you are on the waitlist we will get you in (we were). At 3:31 the worker came out and said we can’t seat anyone else we have decided to close at 4pm. I’ve always heard good things about this place but there will not be a 3rd attempt for me.

New owner take notice! I’ve been going to this place for years. It was recently sold and it’s gone straight downhill. Bartenders (some, you’ll know who) are spaced out, inattentive and rude. Terrible service. Watch your bill. They add bogus charges then lie about it…if you can even tear them away from their friends they’re serving free drinks to take your order. Used to be good. Now it sucks.

Wifey and I love making a trip up the mountain to eat here. Our favorite waitress is Mitch. She’s awesome, and always greets us with a warm welcome. The wings are the best I’ve ever had!
Good selection of beer on tap, bottle, and can. We really enjoyed the Mexican street corn dip and fried green tomato appetizers. Solid tavern atmosphere with good music.

Cute little downtown bar in Ellijay… a true local favorite that host some pretty taste local foods, beer and wine from local wineries around the city. Bartender and staff were exceptional. They’ll definitely take care of you in recommending the right pairings to eat and drink. I still don’t get the dollars on the ceiling (You’ll have to ask) but it’s the mechanics that I don’t get. Will definitely be back to try again!

If they sit you on the patio you might get forgotten about until you get up and find a server. Food was ok. Ruben was sliced too thick in my opinion and potato salad tasted bland. Burgers at big and so are the wings. All in all would not recommend out of the other food places in walking distance.
