Absolutely amazing food, good home cooked southern meals!! The waitress was new and still did a amazing job!! It's a little outdated atmosphere wise but who cares when the food is that good ?

Based on ratings, I was really expecting that southern home cooked meal. What I got was 2 minutes between ordering and the waitress bringing my plate. No way it's cooked to order. Very dry cornbread and possibly canned vegetables. It's all decent food, but for me, it's not worth going out for. The fried chicken and hushpuppies had good flavor. Friendly staff that did a good job.

I had lunch at White Columns Restaurant for the first time after living in Ellijay for 8 years. How have I NOT been here before now?! The Vegetable Soup, made in-house everyday, is hearty & delicious. It's also a plus you can choose with or without ground beef. $4.50 gets a bowl & choice of bread. Good cornbread!! The meat and vegetable offerings have something for everyone but there many options available from the menu. I love that the desserts can be chosen as a vegetable preference. The prices are very reasonable and the service was great. The dining area & bathrooms were clean. I Love the hometown feel and atmosphere. My only disappointment was hearing that the Mac & Cheese is Kraft Deluxe and not homemade.
