We are visiting the area for a week and have driven by this place a few times and noticed how busy they stay. I'm not sure what the draw is because the food was just mediocre. The restaurant is attractive on the outside but the inside looks like it hasn't been updated in 60 years. That is not a problem because it was pretty clean but it's not drawing people in so the food must be INCREDIBLE! Well, my wife ordered the meatloaf, Fried Okra, Mashed Potatoes. I ordered...
Doug's Place is an iconic restaurant with a long history of providing great food and service. One of the few places left where you can get a proper southern breakfast, just like Grandma used to cook. You can't go wrong with breakfast or lunch at Doug's.
