I have had meals from this business for over 10 years back when they first opened at this location. I have not been back in a while and decided to pay a visit while in town. The smell inside immediately reminded me of the last time I was there years ago and the food did not disappoint at all! I introduced the food to some out of town friends and they thought it was great! Keep up the good work and filling the bellies of happy customers!

Just ated there and the old lady with brown hair can not hear so when I repeated my order louder slhe tells other customers that I yelled at her. Please get some hearing aids if you can not hear your customers or don't work the line. Plain and simple!!!

Was pleasantly surprised by the lunch we enjoyed today. Haven't eaten here for several years but today has made me a regular. Best ribs I have had in years and the broccoli casserole was by far the star of the meal. I'll stop for now but treat yourself and you will not regret it. Thank you for the best meal in a while.

Gave 3 stars for atmosphere due to the amount of people in the restaurant. I usually always go during lunch, and it's always jam packed. But I'd expect nothing else because the food and sides are absolutely delicious. My favorite is the fried pork loin..collard greens..and mashed potatoes and brown gravy on thr pork and potatoes.

Very busy restaurant, long line after church. The line speaks for the food!!! Fantastic pork loin and good ribs. Lots of side choices.

The restaurant has 2 pictures of slaves picking cotton on a plantation in the dinning room. These are new paintings added and where not there before. I asked to speak to a manager about them, because I was sitting next to a very nice family that had obviously just came from church and had to sit right under the picture. I was told ownership was not going to do anything about it and that they had them made from a artist that painted them for the restaurant. I pointed out how in bad taste they where and she actually asked me if I had a problem with black people! No I'm trying to get you to see that slaves picking cotton in a restaurant is not okay and you need to take the picture down, not remove the black people next to me. The only thing business under is when you stop spending your money there. There is no place for this our society and ignoring it is the same as tolerating it. This is a shame because I feel Mr. Goolsby was a good man and this shouldn't be a reflection of him in his restaurant, but it is. I will not be returning and hope you do the same.

Whoa what happened? I haven't had Goolsbys since the moved from Columbia rd. My hoecake taste like the grease they fried it in and is super soggy from oil no crispness. The greens were lack luster and had a sweetness I didn't care for, and the Mac and cheese that used to be the absolute truth is now an oily lie. It's not even cheesy just oily. I'm upset because we got 3 plates like this for none of us to even enjoy it. I'd pay triple what I paid tonight for a taste of the old goolsbys. So dissatisfied.

Great little spot to come check out. The food is amazing. Everything is seasoned just right. Don't miss out on the broccoli & cheese casserole which is my favorite side. Yes it was on my table on another plate (lol). I can eat everything on there menu.Parking: Located in a shopping center.
