This is gotta be one of my favorite southern food joints since moving here. The food is really really amazing the fried pork chops or something. I definitely recommend the peach cobbler is also very delicious. The staff is really really friendly. The restaurant is really really clean inside and outside. I definitely recommend Goolsby’s for anyone coming in the area. Trust me, you will not regret it.
I live in lincolnton. I can’t go to Evans without going to Goolsby’s. I’ve tried it all and it’s great. My favorite meal there is the fried loin, collards, black eyed peas(with some stewed tomatoes in the middle of them. Fried Cornbread. And last but not least…. Some of the best sweet potatoe soufflé you can get. That right there make you slap yourself.
My mom and I dined here yesterday and today! Ms Holly makes the best black-eyed peas! I had the shrimp yesterday (delicious!) with the peas, mac&cheese and broccoli casserole and Mom had the chicken tenders, potato salad, and cabbage -all so good! Mom wanted to come back today for a veggie plate--greens, peas, limas, and slaw (she was very happy); I got the fried pork (so tender I cut it with my spoon!), cabbage, mashed taters and gravy, and the aforementioned best black-eyed...read full review
