“The experience was more than I expected. My daughter whose in the Navy and stationed oversees came to visit but was leaving on Saturday so I wanted to spend a Friday night with her before she left. Well I was very pleased with the food and the atmosphere. Initially when we arrived I was ready to go to another spot due to it was dead but little did I know we were early. Our waitress I can’t remember her name was the bomb, I give this spot an 11 out of 10.“

“Nice food selection for a bar. Fast service, even with just 3-4 people working they were handling the crowd well. 2 nice adequate restrooms. Drinks strong, didn’t like the heavy salt on the Paloma-should have ordered it without. Rum Punch and Espresso drink good.

-okra portion size is too small. Too much salt on them. Great fresh cook just give more and use less salt.

-Brussels are too oily and buttery-you can see the butter heavy. Good portion just too much butter.

-Brisket Taco-Great value and I loved the BBQ taste. General flour tortilla shell but at least it’s toasted. Would’ve liked the option of fresh corn shell but I understand this is a bar. Was about to order more food, but I already ate. Prices are good all around: pool tables, games, nice chill vibe with some outdoor rooftop seating. Entertainment on some nights. For the overall experience, it’s pretty close to a five star if not already five star to you. If someone gives it a four star, it is the kind of four star that with improvements could easily be a five star, and this could be quite the regular hangout spot for some. Adequate parking on the street and in the rear.“

“My friend girl brought me to this restaurant for my birthday. I had the turkey ribs, collards, yams and Mac and cheese and the bread pudding, we even tried the fried green tomato,she had the turkey wings. OH ! My gosh the food was sooo, ( never heard of nor had a turkey ribs) it was so tender and the sauce was point on. I don't mind paying a good piece if the service and food is great. When I left this restaurant I took a picture and posted on Facebook, telling everybody I know about this fabulous time at this place and they got to try it out. The service, and my waiter was a 10 .plus“

“painted bar was apart of our bar hop saturday during the day while watching college football - the outdoor patio is a great spot for this but you must get there early enough - the vibes are high, conversations are busslin and the atmosphere is ideal (outdoor patio was my only experience, ill be back)

“My husband and I was looking for some place new to go for dinner and i found this place on the internet. We had never heard of it and it was close to our home so we decided to check it out. The set up is nice. I believe there are 3 or 4 dinning rooms. The staff was really nice and very attentive. We didnt make any reservations which they do prefer but they sat us still without a wait. The drinks were really good and they did not hold out on the amount of alcohol. Now the dinner. OMG Dinner was off the chain. I tip my hat off to the chef. I had the Honey Glaze Salmon and my husband is vegan so he had The Smoked spinach Asparagus Mashed potatoes and Brocolini. When I tell you this had to be the best food with so much flavor. We were more then pleased. The only complaint we have is the music got really loud. If couldnt hear each other even if you are sitting right next o each other. But other then that I will definitely return and I must say I am adding this to my list of best restaurants in Atlanta.“

“My first time at this place at the Atlanta airport to which I’m a frequent flyer. The drinks, service and atmosphere were top notch! Tai in particular always made sure my drinks were good and full, my food was hot and even went as far as helping me create a drink that I LOVED! “My boyfriend and I just ate here for the first time today. We live an hour away and wanted to try something new since we were in the area. The food was AMAZING! We had edamame for an appetizer, my boyfriend had a mushroom quesadilla and I had a delicious Buffalo shrimp salad. Only disappointment was the service from the bartender. We had to ask if we could order, we had to ask for refills, and she never did a check back on the food; so we had to ask for her attention about a question I had concerning my salad dressing. Other customers sitting down had to do the same for service. This was all because she was on her tablet reading. So anytime we interrupted her it was because she was reading from her tablet. This was a disappointment but will try again because of the food quality and nice atmosphere.“

“Outside dining is great. Tables aren't cleaned nearly enough or well. You'll enjoy seeing artsy people. Many are friendly. Service isn't wow, but decent. The fish and chip, loved the batter and the tenderness of the fish. I was not pleased with the one small cup of tartar sauce. I had to pay a dollar for it.“

“Well… We were looking for a to-go meal and wanted something close by. As our search went, we came across this Irish Pub, as the name it was under. Looked at the menu and wife saw Pork chops, and some other sides that sounded like a winner.

So, I went to this place, located in Rex, at the Creekside Village shopping center, next to Food Depot.

Turns out that the name was changed to Urban Pub Bar and Grill. I remember seeing it once before and the place was packed in the evening hours. Parking isn’t an issue due to the shopping center lot, so no worries there.

Went in and it is a decent size place. The menu has changed just a bit since it was bought by another party. Still though, we could get most of what I saw of the menu online. Opted for the fried pork chop meal, added a side of fried okra, cabbage, greens and mac n cheese. It comes with 2 sides already with the meal. That was the cabbage and greens. Also added an extra chop too, it comes with just one.

The chops were seasoned just right, and the crunch was tops, and still moist inside. Someone knows how to cook back in that kitchen… The greens were spicy and excellent, and the cabbage was on point too. There was a piece of smoked meat in it and it was tasty… Then the mac n cheese, it was creamy and had a slight crust on top, tasted a few types of cheese in it, I thought one was Smoked Gouda, though I didn’t ask. The okra was also fried just right, crunchy and tender. Overall, it was a hit.

Lunch specials are advertised in the bar but was told that one or more may change soon.

It has a Stage, and pool table area (maybe 4 total), as well as some digital slots in the same area. A juke box too.

A main bar as you enter and plenty of seating. The have bands and Karaoke on certain days too. Car shows they host as well.

I went during the afternoon, so it wasn’t busy at all, but nights seem to be the party time. If the food is this good, then I can be assured that the rest of the menu items are more likely to be a hit.
