“Service was a little slow, food was served on hot plates, ordered lucnch portion of fajitas and a half order of chicken nachos with pickled jalapeños, food was better than we've had in the last couple of visits, fajitas were seasoned perfectly and the portion you get for these two dishes is a good value for the money, current Mexican preference is still Salsa's on Washington Road, but, this visit was a full 1 star improvement on food versus last visit, the picante salsa verde is always great for a punch of heat“

“The chips, salsa, and queso were a 5. The margaritas are strong but they use a mix instead of fresh squeezed lime juice. It is strong and rimmed with tajin, so I give it a solid 4. The lunch special was okay, but the price was outstanding. The standout was the guacamole salad. It had a nice jalapeño kick there just wasn’t enough of it. If I could sub more guacamole for beans, I would. The chile relleno was good except for the ranchero sauce. That is just because I am not a fan of ranchero sauce in general but it was still tasty and the breading was not too eggy. They use real poblano peppers. Where can you get an entree for under $7 and it not come from a drive thru? The service was good. Attentive but not intrusive.This place reminds me of a place at 5 Points in Corpus Christi I used to frequent in the 90s only the food is better here. Authentic, family ran vibe. Not fancy at all but if you want some quick eats in a sit down restaurant at a very reasonable price for lunch, this is the place. Friendly and fast service bumps it up to a 5 even though I would normally rate this place a 3.5 to a 4. The vibe, price, service, chips, 3 salsas, and guacamole are top notch.“

My son is handicapped and we were using the drive thru We didnt really know what to or how to order so the young lady took her time to come out of the restaurant and helped us with our order. “Haven't been here in about three years. Used to come frequently when I worked in the area. The food was still as good as I remember. My Husband got a new menu item, the Nacho Fajitas which he enjoyed. I got a combination plate with Pork Tamales, Beans and Rice which I also enjoyed. The tamales were a little dry, but still delicious. I was a little disappointed in the service though. The only time our waitress came to our table was to take out order and bring our food. We had to go up front to ask for to go boxes and our check. Maybe it was just an off day today or a new waitress, not sure.“

“I would give this place 10 stars if i could! The gentleman was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and a terrific help.I asked what they preferred, and i ordered the street taco platter. Which is 4 different types of corn shelled tacos, rice, and onions with a grilled jalepeno pepper. There were also 2 different sauces, and 1 was very spicy(my favorite), but both have exceptionally flavors!My daughter opted for the nachos, and she said they were the best shes ever had. Obviously, we have tried a lot of places, so that's a huge compliment.Id also like to say the portions were very good for the price. Needless to say I actually love the food here and there is a level of authenticity that many Mexican restaurants do not have. Truly, I judge all Mexican restaurants on their tacos because you can get different meats so it's similar to a sampling. So I've tried the birria, asada, chorizo, pastor, and have not been disappointed. The margaritas are on point as well. Very good. If you are looking for a friendly family owned business with great food, this place is a must.“
