Have I found a delectable destination for you! The Hog Wallar Cafe is off the beaten path in Centralhatchee GA, but worth every mile getting there. These folks at the Cafe are no passing fantasy or drive-by. My friend thoroughly enjoyed his BBQ Pork meal but what set the course above all in taste and quality was when he started chowing down on my perfectly fried Catfish Strips (a squeeze of lemon will do ya), Hushpuppies to die for, and the best tasting crisp Onion Rings I have ever had. Their catfish are no bottom feeders! The succulent white flakey texture was crisp quite tasteful! The unmistakable flavor of the exquisite hushpuppies was the perfect companion of the catfish. And, Oh! Those onion rings, fresh and crisp, and not greasy. Portions were adequate for me, even though some found their way to my friend's plate.
Now, enough about the food, let's not throw shade on the staff. These folks are quite adequate, responsive and offer a friendly service...A+ to them. But the one member of the team who deserves a grateful applause and kudos is the lady of the kitchen! She certainly knows how to produce a ***** meal! Thank you so very much!
So folks, do not pass by the Hog Wallar Cafe! Make it your destination!

Excellent experience - great food and nice people.

This restaurant is a prime example for two key things - local restaurants being great and keeping menus simple. They have a small but reasonable menu and do everything very well. It was such a delight to have lunch here today.

The pork was excellent - moist and nice smoky flavor that you could eat without sauce. I tried the Hog Waller roll which was an interesting combo of Brunswick stew, cheese and pork wrapped in Texas toast…very nice. The crinkle fries were fresh, hot and crisp - as were the onion rings. Even the toast was toasted to perfection. 😀 The banana pudding is homemade and on point - exactly as it should be.

We all left happy and full!

We stopped in on a trip out of town. Service was great and the food was really really good. We both had the sunrise breakfast and everything was cooked perfectly. The biscuits were light and buttery.
Can’t wait to go back and try lunch!

It’d be silly not to try this place at least once ESPECIALLY if you are from Carrollton. This needs to be on your list of places to regularly eat.

We had a delicious dinner at this little cafe in Centralhatchee, Ga called Hog Wallar Cafe, it’s like finding a gem in a hole in the wall places. I had the fish plate that was a special for a Saturday dinner. My husband had the hamburger steak dinner. He said the steak was great, and the gravy was fantastic. The fish was more than I could eat ( so leftover’s for me). But the fish had a great taste as well.
