This place has been in business 70 yrs for many reasons. Of course because it's the best soul food on the planet hands down. Handed down from Mama Rutledge to her Son. You feel the love when you walk into the door. You don't wanna leave just for that reason alone. But the love is obviously also the main ingredient in this amazing food. This is an excellent experience you dont wanna miss. It is off the beaten path and small town where all the locals hang and those places are usually the best. Best food in Franklin hands down! The staff are all wonderful and treat you like family! The prices are very reasonable, the portions are MORE than adequate, and the atmosphere cant be beat! Friday and Saturday are cook to order and Sunday is done in Southern Sunday Dinner style. If you're in town stop by for an AMAZING meal! Everything on the menu is excellent!

The new owner is a professional with ambition for his craft as he transformed the long time family cafe into his own with home style Southern homemade fresh foods from fresh ingredients. Delicious dishes that are heavily influenced from family recipes. Customer service is authentic and always with great attitude. Family owned Rutledge Cafe is back and better than ever.
