The experience and food were outstanding. Natalia took great care of our table with great suggestions and amicable attitude. The ceviche and queso fundido were great appetizers and my Plato de Pepe was full of flavor, loved it. Although I will say, I regret not getting the Molcajete, looked amazing.

My wife took me to Consuelo with the promise of the best guacamole she had ever eaten. She was absolutely correct. The restaurant has very comfortable vibe. Our waiter, Santiago was extremely polite, professional and knew the menu like the back of his hand. I had the enchiladas verde, per his request and it was the best meal I’ve had in Gainesville in a long time. We can’t wait to go back to try more of this incredible food! The brunch and dessert options look amazing. If you want a great meal prepared with high quality ingredients and topped off with top of the line service, look no further than Consuelo.

We were very warmly greeted by Armando, and my sister, my mom and I had a beautiful luncheon. We shared the guacamole while enjoying our hibiscus margaritas. We split the street tacos, which had very generous portions of Carne Asada I highly recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely return!

Amazing food and drinks. Waiters are awesome and hard working. This is the best healthy Mexican restaurant in Gainesville, It is very authentic. The atmosphere is great because it’s on the square with lots of fun places to go after having a delicious meal. It’s addictive!!

Where to begin...? If you've been to the real Mexico, you'll know when you enter Consuelo's that you've just crossed the border and an authentic dining experience awaits. From the pre-dinner Mezcalita & Paloma to the queso fundido, handmade tortillas, the carne en su jugo, the huarache, and the enchilada trio - they were all authentic and as you will find in the finest establishments in Jalisco. We finished with charcoal ice cream (nieve) topped with a berry compote. The service??? World class service by Santiago and a visit to our table by the restaurant manager - Christian to ensure our smiles and ooo's & ahhhh's were real. If you love authentic Mexican food, you owe it to yourself to visit Consuelo's!
