I ordered a torta. Advertised price is $9.45. I was charged $13.69. Sales tax in Hall county is 3%. As a math person I feel ripped off and will not be coming back. To top it off. The Torta was small!!

Can no longer say it's authentic 20 years in Gainesville going to this place and today i was highly disappointed. Nachos are no longer made with the authentic homemade tortilla chip. The menu is modernized to compete with Chipotle or Moe's. Adding rice bowls was something the REAL AUTHENTIC El Carreton would never do. A Gainesville gem truly gone to waste.
Used to love this place. My husband would stop atleast two times a week and grab us dinner from here. I would always order the chorizo tacos which were amazing. Here recently I can't stand them, it like they changed the way they make it, and it now taste terrible. Really disappointed, we were so happy to have found this place but will not be returning.

Tortas was very messy. I had asked for nothing spicy no peppers and they put pickled jalapenos on there and right in front of me said sorry and then just picked them off but with all that pepper juice still on there my sandwich was too spicy. I could not eat it. Also the prices were a bit high for a chicken torta and Fry and drink was nearly 15 dollar.
I want to add a thank you to whoever it was with El carreton who replied to my post. Thank you for the sincere apology I absolutely do accept it and yes you will still see me there you still have other food that I thoroughly enjoy. And I look forward to eating there again.
