We had a great time at The Stag. The atmosphere was fun and lively and the service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We never felt rushed, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The food was fantastic. Definitely recommend!

Ever since the new owner, Roland took over two years ago this place is FANTASTIC!! We went last month for a date night and it was so great that we scheduled another date night a month later. Our waiter Gabriel is awesome! He makes sure that your experience is always great.
The Caesar salad was great. The brussels sprouts with bacon, delicious. The baked potato order it with extra cheese and bacon melted over the potato was unstoppable. Here.
The fillet is fantastic!! The Ribeye is good. The pork chop is good!
The drinks are great!
The apple pie with ice cream for dessert was top-notch!

We had a great experience at The Stag. The food is great but I want to highlight how the service is what really topped it off for us. Mark, our server was just fantastic. After 20 years in the industry myself, I genuinely appreciate when servers are themselves, interact, and don’t act like trained robots. He’s a keeper.

The ambience is comforting gives of a log cabin vibes, services on point we had reservations we were checked in less than five minutes and greeted by our server she was amazing!, from the appetizers to the main course was delicious quality food and well executed. My only dislike was their sauce served with the lamb chops it was herbaceous, but the vinegar taste is too strong. It burns the pallet. I would recommend having it with the cowboy butter.

favorite restaurant on the square! never had a bad meal, the service is always 10/10. Jillian the manager always goes above + beyond to make sure we are taken care & she also is the sweetest! Makayla at the bar makes the best martinis!! & Roland the owner is also so awesome! he is always present in his restaurant and makes sure to talk to every table which you normally don’t see the owner at most restaurants! 10/10 for me! oh and they have the best skillet cookie for dessert!

The Stag is my favorite restaurant in Gainesville and definitely one of the more consistent restaurants in the area. The food is always superb and the staff is very welcoming. Definitely my favorite steak in town. Great for family dinner, date night, business dinners, etc.

this was my first time going there a very Dear friend invited me for Easter and the three of us just had a amazing meal. Excellent service. Everything was cooked to perfection. It was very surprising for a buffet. It was very excellent food. I highly recommend this restaurant. they had salmon, steak, lamb chops, salads, vegetables, cheesecakes, macaroons, cookies, fruit and then they had an entire breakfast menu. If that’s what you wanted it was just very well done

I rented the upstairs Antler Room for a Couples Wedding shower (30 people). The event was a huge success and everyone raved about the food and venue! Avalon was positively helpful and went above expectations to have the event run smoothly! The bartender gave excellent service and helpful recommendations! I would highly recommend The Stag Chophouse for future events!
