This place is FANTASTIC! You will not find a better BBQ in the area. I drove 30 minutes to get here and I was not disappointed. Very eclectic little place and I do believe they can host large events. If you’re on the fence between this BBQ and another just start driving here.
I was driving through Griffin and wanted some bbq. I decided to stop by here and I was blown away! The ribs were sliding off the bone, the loaded chopped bbq fries were delicious (the fries could have been a whole meal by themselves). We had a wonderful waitress that server us. The atmosphere was a real good southern hospitality. I definitely recommend everyone stop here try them out!

The ribs were exceptionally tender and delicious. The Brunswick stew was outstanding, exceeding expectations. The coleslaw was enjoyable, although it could have benefited from a more balanced sweetness level.

Overall 3 stars. Not horrible, not the best. French fries are not tossed so they give very wimpy sad vibes. Mac n cheese was good. Meat was a bit dry. The saving grace was the cobbler. If I was rating just dessert it would be 5/5 even if the server threw it in my face. But that’s not the whole review so it’s 3/5

We've been too many times to count. We've eaten there, used to go, and used their catering services. As a former restaurant owner, they have been the standard to live up to.

Wheelchair accessibility: Set up to serve all people with any challenges, and they love to take care of people.
Reluctant to give 5 stars but can always take 1away if feel the need I almost had perfect myself once and pants leg wasn't proper length between shoe sole and heel top my thoughts God bless us all
Great place. Great food. Great atmosphere. 10 times better than the fast food I've been having. Even the bbq places by me aren't this good and way more expensive. They have a toy train going around too. It was perfect before, but now, it's the best. Everything is delicious.
The cole slaw tastes more fresh than other places, more of a salad flavor, not too wet, but almost, I had the pulled brisket sandwich, wow. For even another $80 you can't get better than this from where I'm from.
I absolutely love Southern Pit! Some of the best BBQ around.

Ate here for the first time. Umm I was not pleased at all. They put sauce on the meat and I can't stand that. Pulled pork dry. I had to mix with the cole slaw just to eat it. Corn bread so dry, you need water to get it down. No flavor to mac and cheese or baked beans.
Very nice family restaurant all the food was fresh hot and the hospitality was great ? I would give this restaurant 100%
