“A steakhouse in the middle of nowhere that is usually packed. That says something. We have ridden by this place dozens of times en route to Alabama and have wanted to stop and finally got the opportunity. We now know why it's packed. The steaks are cooked perfectly and the seafood is delicious. Give this place a try if you're in the area.“

“I want to do Carriage and Horses justice. I’m saddened I can’t because the limit is 5 stars. I was fortunate to travel extensively on corporate credit cards. I ate well at well reviewed establishments.Carriage & Horses is among the very best if not the best. My wife and I couldn’t have enjoyed our dinner more.Oh, we each had the filet & lobster tail. It was outstanding.“

“Summary: very nice place with good food, good service and reasonable prices, plus a pleasant drive. No need to fight traffic and look for parking like in ATL. Definitely worth a visit. Story: went for our anniversary after deciding there was no way we wanted to drive to ATL. It is certainly off the beaten path but GPS found it no problem. We had reservations but went on a Tuesday night so it wasn't busy. The decor is dated but nice, not pretentious or stuffy at all. Everyone was very pleasant, attentive and helpful. Not a craft beer or high end wine selection, but reasonably priced. We ordered the specials: rainbow trout for my wife and some lobster pasta dish for myself. Both were very good. Going with 4 stars mainly due to the sides of carrots and beans not exactly up to the caliber of the main dish. I would recommend“
